A farcical performance that, as bad as anything as Ronko served up.

45m midfielder in Gylfi and he basically plays him left back to cover the knobhead Cuco who hands down is the worst full back we have ever had in my lifetime.

As @riddick kindly pointed out at half time, if Allardyce's tenure is based on performances and results then he's getting binned in the summer, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was next week of we didn't get a win.

From top to bottom this Club is a shambolic mess. We have zero identity on the pitch, no pattern of play, no personality...absolutely nothing positive or encouraging. That performance today was disgraceful. But, it wasn’t a surprise to Evertonians or anyone else....and that is a huge concern.
I don’t think there’s a worse team to watch in the division, and we are most definitely in danger of falling into a relegation scrap. That worries me as we have no heart, no desire, no camaraderie....there’s no togetherness in the Team. The appointment of Allardyce and Lee underlined the lack of ambition and confirmed our acceptance of mediocrity.

I’m normally a positive Blue, but today has dented that. It was as bad as Southampton and Atalanta away and as bad as Spurs, Burnley, Atalanta, Lyon etc at home. It’s become the norm, and inspect it to get worse.

Oh for the days of Roberto Martinez - the days when we actually played a decent bit of football now and then. Yes, defensively he was weak, but compared to Koeman and Allardyce (and Unsworth) his teams had some flair, some excitement and on their day could really entertain. I hope he wins the World Cup and parades it around Goodison in true Jim Bowen style...”take a look at what you could’ve had”.....and has his middle finger raised.

that my friends was absolutely awful. depressing how we are so bad. holgate is only one that can hold his head up, the rest including the management...no words.

I get a very palpable sense of men vs boys when we play. Our oldies don't dominate the game or give a platform for our OK but not world-beating youth - who battle admirably.

Of course teams are a mix of youth and experience but we're quite polarized age wise. McCarthy and Lennon both a bit peripheral being a) unfit or b) a sub. Interesting that Sam is buying in that age range, but for me the 'character' of the team that Moyes built is now entirely gone.

The bite, energy, confidence and sheer belief we can win is not there. Whilst a signing can give us a 'lift' (similarly to how Niasse came good for a bit and we sort of loved him for it), I genuinely think that grit needs to be bred back into the team and will take a lot of time.

The good news - we have OK youth
Kenny, Holgate, Keane, Pickford are future players - we have to stick with them. Davies likewise I hope, alongside Baningame. DCL is a maybe, but scoring is the hardest thing to do so I'd give him a summer to beef up... looks a good loan candidate right now. Hopefully these lads can grow with the club as their stature grows on the pitch, and we start to look a bit snappier and more dominant.

Defence
Maybe Sam sees something in FM, but I'd love the kinda character Sakho brought to palace to replace Jags, with Garbutt/Galloway in for Baines, assuming Seamus comes back well. That gives us a blend of youth and experience at the back. Not sure who the CB is right now who's out there for us...

Our midfield is horrible.
  • Bolasie/Lookman may pose a threat from wide, maybe Walcott too - but all of those guys need games.
  • Barkley gone. £15m.
  • I see nothing long-term in the middle; McCarthy, Sigs, Snides Rooney, Klassless et al. Either past it or bad fit. I don't think Gueye is a leader either but puts tackles in.Beningame looks a prospect, see 'good news..', above.
Up front
Cenk, we'll see. Fingers crossed. He's got a lot to do. Sandro? Anything promising in the youth teams?

Nothing else going on. Hope we go for nZonzi & Dembele to liven us up a bit.

Missed the game today cos been to London with Mrs B. Just seen Spuds supporters at Marylebone rail station laughing at Everton. Bloody embarrassing.

It means statistically, given our all round play, chances, efforts etc, we aren't doing enough to be likely to score even once in a game.

Basically, it's not bad luck, missed chances etc, it's expected.
Oh right - I get that from the team sheets, the performances and results so far, and the general levels of application from the team and the levels of inaction from the board, but it’s good to know that someone somewhere is also tracking it as a stat!

Anthony Gordon is meant to be good for the youth team. Played in the dead rubber in greece. Hes only 16 though. I like Duke-Mckenna the left back/winger. Think he is in the under 18's. Hes left footed too and us quick and aggressive. Dowell, Connolly and Fenney are others aswelll who are highly rate
