In fairness to @H.H. Andre Gomes did do it mate, in the second half on Josh Brownhill. It is dangerous play. Oddly I remember Teddy Sheringham doing it in the 95 cup semi final as well, for some of the older guys on here!

The only comeback, is Kane does it quite a bit. I mean you can make certain defences of Kane, which would be that it's not malicious, he's just tyring to make it hard to head the ball away for an opponent and he is very good at it, but it should be a free kick against Spurs each time.

The evolution of Harry Kane insults through the years:

- One season wonder
- Only scores tap-ins and pens
- Doesn’t do it in the big games
- Only scores not a creator
- He talks funny
- His backing in makes him a danger

Always got to be something i suppose.

By the way, only one player has reached 250 career goals quicker than Harry Kane. Lionel Messi.

It's funny really, as I said some of the early things. But the lad is a top draw player.

I remember seeing Kane play for Englands under 20's years ago. John Stones played as did Ross Barkley, and Connor Coady did.I watched for the Everton lads really. I remember looking at Kane, and he looked lumbersome, 1 paced etc and remember wondering what he was doing in the team. He'd had a couple of spells on loan, one at Norwich I think where he had struggled. I just didn't see it with him.

He's been briliant for Spurs. I have a theory that we often only appreciate things when they are gone. If Kane stays in England, he will get close to Alan Shearers "Premier League" record and will be in the conversation for Englands best ever striker.

I thought Spurs wrre comfortable winners yesterday and played well. I was surprised by some of the commentary, making Arsenal out to be the much better team. I didn't see it that way.

Arsenal had more of the ball and play, but rarely pushed Spurs. I think there was 1 moment where Aldeweireld got caught out of position a bit and had to make a good block. In the whole 2nd half that was the only only opportunity I though Arsenal had.

Spurs just played the percentages 2nd half. Sat in and asked Arsena to come and break them down twice, which they were a long way from doing.

Mourinho is doing very well there. It's frustrating, as it's nothing you feel we couldn't do. I mean we looked at Hojberg but ended up with Doucoure/Allan who are all at a similar level. I actually remember defending Hojberg after the opening game and saying he needed more time. You look in defence, Dier and Alderweireld are solid but not much more than that. I don't think they are miles ahead of our CB's. Left back similar, though the right back is a big step up on what we have.

Then you look at the forward positions, and Kane/Son and AN other v Calvert Lewin/Richarlinson/James is also very close.

You can see though, what Mourinho's got into them is that they want to defend. They're not being asked to do anything much more than that without the ball, but get into shape and be aggressive without the ball.

I look at us, and think we could have players who could do that, but at the moment we don't. We give a stupid away at Burnley, which probably costs us 2 points. Trying to play in our own third with blind passes 2 minutes in. It's the sort of mistakes a Mourinho team doesn't make. You have to earn anything against them.

Spurs, like Leicester a while back could go all the way. They have 2 big scoring threats (see Vardy/Mahrez) and the rest of the team know what tey need to do and are happy to do it. It's not rocket science.

It's frustrating as you I say, as we could have easily had 3 points at Burnley and 1 at Newcastle having played badly in both but by not making silly mistakes. Even those extra 3 points would make the table look different now.

I admit that it can be dangerous but here we go again with Everton fans and glass houses.
One of your players did exactly the same thing in your draw at Burnley the day before. Exactly the same.
lol. I'm pretty sure Gomes didn't turn and look to his opponent jump and then back into him.

Remember that Spurs have no shame, and appeal any supposed indiscretion against them at the drop of a hat. It's no surprise to see them jumping at the defence of Kane.

I'm sure if anything bad happened he would have a cry and get comforted by the oppositions captain and get any red card rescinded.

I think a lot of this stems from an underlying jealousy of Spurs, we often compare ourselves to them but have seen the gap between the 2 clubs rapidly become bigger and bigger and it doesn't sit well.

I suspect there are players from teams further down the league that commit some terrible challenges regularly but we don't appear to concern ourselves with them for some reason?

Won't do it v the rs.
You know he won't.
Lego teeth will have it mentioned to him in the build up.
Perfect timing.

Not really and especially not the captain of England. They'll be more faux tears when he actually hurts someone doing with the usual "I never meant to cause injury' etc. But quite clearly he is.

You don't mind someone competing and hurting another player accidentally but this is pure snide and it's dangerous. In rugby he would be off for it. Especially looking at them before walking in to them while they are in the air.

As @roydo said he is too good to bother with any of that.

With a bit of luck he'll back into Pickford
