That's a ridiculous statement

Not really mate - back when gate/season ticket income was a big revenue maker for clubs fans rightfully held a seat at the table.

Now SKY/BT run the show with clubs owned by billionaires and oil gulf states - the game has changed.

We sold our soul to the devil in 1992 and cant cry when the billionaires paying Richarlison 100k a week dont listen to us.

Just because we contribute less proportionately to the financial operation of the club now than we did 30 years ago doesn't mean we aren't entitled to an opinion.

Who exactly do you think funds the SKY/BT money you spanner?

That's coming out of supporters pockets to them and then from them to the club.

When fans want an opinion then they should foot the bill for players/new stadium etc.

Fans want the glam and glitz of the Premiere League, Champions League with players earning millions a year but expecting those footing the bill to give decision making over to Joe Bloggs who watches via a stream.
Come on FB. Fans pay out hundreds of pounds a year in going the game, in Sky/BT subscriptions and on merchandising. 99% of clubs wouldn't exist without the fans.

The owners of these clubs do so in trust for the tens or hundreds of thousands of fans who support their club. They have responsibilities to the fans and if they don;t fulfil them they shouldn't be in that privileged position.

It seemed to me that Poch needed funds to strengthen a jaded looking Spurs side he'd moulded into a regular top four side.

Levy went the seemingly cheaper route and appointed Mourinho who had a great history of making 'nearly there' sides into Champions.

That squad still needs a refresh and NES never seemed like a right fit.

I'm not sure Levy and Conte is going to work given the personalities.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see NES as Watford boss come March 2022.

Why wait until March. That's nearly 5 months away.

When Moshiri is paying £100 million into the groundwork for BMD out of his own pocket you or I dont get a say on who he appoints as manager mate thats the way it is.

If you want to have a say in a football club you need to follow a lower league / SPL / Bunderliga outfit who ain't touched by the blood money of the Premiere League.

Conte will be getting 18 months so Levy doesnt have to spend a fortune. Bit of a strange one for him to take

Double edged sword init. You don't have to pay him a whack in comp should it not work, but it could work and he then leaves for buttons to go to RM/Barca/Bayern/PSG/City or the mighty Newcastle in a year. Hardly showing faith in him and if that's the case why should he show loyalty in return?

Could just be pap nonsense re contract length though.
