Squad Overhaul - Limited Budget

£12mil ish.

Fixed.
Well yes Zat, I meant this window.

So that means we can spend 50m on players this window.

You need to stop the magical mythical FFP tree.

Here are last years accounts.

2022 Turnover 181m
2022 Operating Costs 205m
2022 Operating losses 24m

We make a loss even before player trading.

So lets say we get 50m in sales, that means 24m has to go out instantly to keep the business afloat.

In your world, we spread that 50m over 5 years and it becomes 250m.

So that means every year the business would lose 50m + the 24m we already lose, which means we would lose 74m a year.

Im very aware how FFP works, but we are currently being accused of breaking P&S Premier League Rules, which means cash in and cash out, so I dont really think we can afford to run a 74million pound loss, each year, for 5 years.

No doubt you will ignore this, but hopefully other people read it and stop falling for your mythical FFP money tree method of accounting.

And yes, im aware this season cant be taken in isolation and that we have sold Gordon and Moise Kean recently.

My main point is that we really can not afford to spend more than we get in due to sales, we are a loss making business that has lost a lot of its major sponsors recently and its owner has probably stopped propping up our massive loses due to him needing the money to finish the Stadium.

Pickford
Trippier Stones Dias Hernandez
De Bruyne Bellingham Casemiro
Saka Haaland Vinicius

Might as well put my fantasy team here like some others.

Now for the real team against Fulham
Lonergan
Coleman Keane Tarkowski Mykolenko
Gueye Garner Delph(comeback from retirement just because of how desperate we are)
Dobbin Maupay McNeill

I'm interested in people opinions on what our overall squad and first 11 could look like next season. i've included what i thought was our best 11 last season (when fit) and what the line up could look like opening game. I don't think the first 11 can or will change that much.

Looking at our squad we are overloaded in central midfield and centre half so wouldn't expect dyche to improve those positions.

i do think a number 10, winger & fullback ideally left back must be priority. we are also lacking in a decent backup for Jordan if he did get injured so possibly a loan move for a goal keeper if we have a slot free.

A thread based upon players we may or may not get - and probably won't.

I too spend countless hours wondering what my life would have been like had I hooked up with Elizabeth Hurley.

You didn't mention our biggest issue A STRIKER! DCL cannot be relied upon to stay fit.

The club following the rules can afford to lose £30-50mil this window. Its up to the owner whether he wants to invest knowing revenues should increase with the stadium.

My point is, its not about the rules, its about cashflow and the owner doesnt even have the money to finish the stadium.
