Stadium Thread - ALL Kirkby/Stadium Discussion Here

Whilst the club probably shouldn't be put on a pedestal that gives them immunity from bad decisions we have to face facts that this isn't like a game of Sim City where you look on the map for any open bit of land and hey presto, there's your new stadium. The club aren't moving to Kirkby to spite us, they've done their analysis and believe it to be the best option.

Am I missing something here? If you haven't heard the broadcast how have I heard what I wanted to?

Mainly from the debate the other day with one of the new members, Lord something or other (apologies to him - his posts really deserved me remembering his username). I thought he made excellent points but he made no hay with you. Likewise HB with Coleman the other night and no doubt myself with various issues as well.

Many people are guilty of forming an opinion then looking for evidence to support it rather than analysing all evidence and then forming an opinion.

Id seriously doubht hes that clueless about it mate, i mean why give your oponent ammunition to cirticse you! Lets face it the less info he gives out about specific details of Kirkby the less chance KEIOC has of posting a rebuttle or for that matter posting youtube effigeys built and funded on desire, spirt and commitment.

Be that as it may, Elstone had not the foggiest idea how this transport plan would pan out in reality. It's a broad brush stroke approach at best to, arguably, the most important issue the club have to deal with. This 'it'll be alright on the night' philosophy is flabbergasting. The mantra seems to be: 'listen, it's in our interests to get transport right, so it'll all come good'.

Sorry, but in my estimation that is a clueless approach. But I suppose it's the sort of approach that comes from being a very junior partner in a project that stands to suit two other senior partners far better. As far as anyone can make out, Everton - if the decision goes the projects way - will simply have to pray that 'the necessary price' (as Elstone calls the transport issue) doesn't completely wreck any move out of the city. Not very reassuring is it?

Oh that? His posts made no headway with me because it was - for all its sophistry - a pretty crude attempt to force fit every single takeover story into a 'doesn't work, no siree-bob' category of convenience.

I think I've read enough on this Kirkby issue to have an informed opinion. That's why I give it. Would that everyone would read as much evidence.

Hi everybody, how's things??????

Sweet Jesus, is it Groundhog Day?
