Me too Doug! Its the dark side for us.I am very annoyed.
It doesn't matter that it was similar ffs. That's where the prequels went wrong.
Of course it does. It matters a lot. To original star wars fans, watching the same film again with a couple of different characters is not what we wanted. Just make a good star wars film ffs, it doesn't have to be similar to be good.
Also, the baddies face when he removed his mask - my 10 year old was in hysterics, he looks like Napoleon Dynamite!
I have many gripes about this film that I really want to put on here but do not want to spoil it.
I think people were so desperate to like it that they forgave it's averageness
oh heres mr misery!
What a bang average film. As a lover of the original 3 films, I was so excited to see it, what a let down.
It is just Star Wars rehashed.
THis is someone elses quote but summed it up perfectly:
""Let's be clear: if anyone made this movie without the Star Wars name, no one would accept it for a moment. It'd be universally derided as the thinnest, most obvious plagiarism. But because it comes with George Lucas' blessing, and because it's so obviously made by Star Wars fans expressing their joy at being given the keys to the kingdom, and because it invites viewers to become kids seeing A New Hope for the first time again, the critical community has largely greeted it with a sigh of collective relief and welcome".

Han dies?
i had heard that before the movie, it dont spoil it too much tho
thing is...you arent speaking for everyone, i know a few massive star wars fans who absolutely loved it, i'm a casual fan, i enjoyed it..also i liked how he looked..kind of dark but innocent

Yo dude,Oh right. You've said that. That's the end of the chat then.
The film is like it is precisely because it has the Star Wars name! Don't see people having a problem with all the Bond films? Or Bourne, which started as essentially a modern Bond, yet everyone loved that for it!? The argument is a complete irrelevance.
The point being made is, it only got away with it because of the Star Wars name. If it had been made by Spielberg and called "Moon Battles" everyone would have said what a cheap copy of a great film, because it is made by star wars no one cares that it is exactly the same.
Don't believe Neil, or everything you read on the internet...
YES! i won
knew i'd win eventually
