Star Wars - Episode VII

Tbh it probably is overated a bit but after the dodgy sequels they couldn't risk another bad film, you can see why they went back to the familiar and its a really enjoyable film. Its boss just to have a decent Star wars film again after decades without. The next ones is were they need to kick on and be more original

loved all the throwbacks to the original films. Will be good to see how they now develop a female Jedi though. A Bang Tidy one too! She makes my lightsaber extend at will.

exactly the same way as they developed the last random person they found that turned out to be a jedi. It is like a carbon copy in some places.

I've seen the word 'lazy' in here a lot.

Interesting when you think about it.

lol

Finn was one of the bright spots of the movie for me. Rey too.

Otherwise, hot garbage in a compactor with plot holes big enough to fly a Star Destroyer through.

I've had enough discussion about it on Facebook already that I'm going to do a blog post later tonight on the matter. I'll link it here, too.

The Fin-Rey scenes were fantastic and the trilogy would be better off keeping them together than their seperate ways. I don't think the Death Star subplot worked (now bigger!). The Order didn't seem to even want it (govt pork in space!) and could have defended it better if Roberto Martinez was in charge. The Rebels weren't even too arsed after they blew it up again [/spoilers]

Thanks to every CGI'd summer blockbuster for the past decade no one is going to get all wowed by biglargehuge space battles like in episode 4 or 6. Keep the conflict on a smaller scale and it will work tremendously.
