Star Wars - Episode VII

Thing is, kids now - my daughter laughs and loves jar jar binks, and that's the effect it has on the generation if kids who never fell in love with 'our' version. It will be the same in the next few I reckon

This part is true, but will your daughter (and her generation) still love Jar-Jar when she's an adult?

I doubt it. Because objectively, Jar-Jar's a rubbish character.

We still love Chewbacca and the droids because, objectively, they still are interesting characters.

For me - the idea of taking my daughter who adores Star Wars to the cinema together to see the new one makes me smile, it will be an experience for everyone.

I dunno in any situation how a part of art almost half a century apart can readily be seamlessly knitted together without criticism?

Mate. People will criticise the new Star wars films simply because they won't be anywhere near the first three.

Even if VII is decent it will still be shot down. Fairly sure of it.

The only thing I would not want for the new film would be any of the original cast to appear, not as leading characters anyway.

I read or heard somewhere is going to be based around inner space not outer space? ( this may be totally wrong)

I'm a fan.. Still say the fight at the end of sith is the best scenes out the whole lot of em..

I don't like that anymore.. As it made the green cross code man, Prowse fume in real life !!

Prowse was as effective as James Earl Jones (and whoever designed the costume) in fashioning the legend that is Darth Vader. Those subtle movements and sharp turns he did are minimalist menace at its most effective. Apparently he wasn't directed to move the way he did.
