Walsh very much the big disappointment of the night for me. Personally I thought he came across very arrogant when his performance and transfers were questioned. Bottom line is we sold one of the best strikers in the league and didn’t replace him and that’s been one of the main contributors to our poor season. Him brushing it off with the ‘still finishing 7th without Roms goals’ stat and claiming we were offered strikers that have since failed elsewhere just made him look a plank IMO

But the last part of your post is correct,we did finish 7th and although the strikers we were offered are unknown we dodged a bullet with Perez and Gabbiadini who both turned us down.The unpleasant truth is that no proven top class goalscorers are in our price range,or just don't want to come.

That really annoyed me as it shows a massive lack in understanding how football actually works.

...Moshiri spoke about the massive investment in players but the bottom line is that performance has gone backwards on the pitch. Too much is made of Lukaku and Barkley leaving, that is what happens in football. Walsh’s accountability is the the squad and we now have a weak and woefully unbalanced squad. I appreciate Koeman has lots to answer for but surely Walsh must have some level of culpability.

...Walsh explains how the transfer process works;

So he and the Manager must both sign an agreement before the player is acquired. If either says no then the deal doesn’t happen. Whoever most wants the player tends to take the lead to get him in.

If this was also the process with Koeman then Walsh has to be culpable for the situation we are in with this weak and unbalanced squad. It is a concern.

Massive concern eggs becsuse it shows he played a part in every turd signing we purchased and wouldhave been VERY aware of how unbalanced the squad was shaping up

..absolutely, Matey. Somehow he’s survived the cull of Koeman and his backroom staff, he now needs to demonstrate he truly is the man for the job.

As @sageyefc has pointed out just now the man his completely out of his depth. Chatting about how they sign players was basicslly a repeat of what he said with Koeman. Well guess what Walsh, it failed emphatically.

A clueless bellend to compliment the other bellends who run our club.

His job is like that of Elstones nobody can put pressure on him from the terraces as he is just in the stand not being made accountable like a manager is even though his job now is equally as important

I think this window is Walsh's last chance. Hes got to get a top LB in, and probably shore up one other position. If he fails in that and his past buys continue to underperform, I think both Sam and him get the ax in the summer.

If however he gets a top LB, the team makes europe, Siggurdson, Rooney, and Pickford continue form, and a couple of the likes of Lookman, Vlasic, Keane, Sandro gain form, then I think he stays.
