I have to say that looks like the perfect picture of a 40 yr old overweight FIFA playing boxroom virgin who has never kicked a ball in his life and works a 9-5 job counting paper clips in a very large overcrowded office

Though its not widely popular, I think the way the Dutch clubs set up as a league is a worthwhile model, particularly for Everton.

In essence they trade well, utilise youth facilities and players, recruit aggressively and early to then turn a profit. Where they struggle is the lack of glamour within the league and lack of finance means they struggle to keep said players which should be easier for us.

We have spent 200 million pounds for players we'd do well to get anything like our money back on. We need to make sure future spend is on players who will potentially generate more money for us.

If he comes in I see it as a positive step, and probably a clear sign Walsh and likely Allardyce are off come the summer.

Would it make sence IF (and thats a big if) we bring this dutch guy in we bring him in the day after the transfer window closes.

It allows him a good 3-4 months to assess the squad, the club, work out an actual plan when it comes to recruiting players.

If he came in before the window closes, anything he does would be guess work (i.e. he knows someone who would be a good back up right back and gets them in, we already have Kenny but as his knowledge of Jonjoe is limited he goes ahead and brings him in anyway)

Think Walsh (and Everton) took a bet on himself, took the promotion and it hasn't worked out as planned.

Time to fix the problem and get someone in who hopefully will be up to the task.

Don't need to bin Walsh straight away - let him focus on what he's supposed to be good at.

Because the young players he brings in might never get a chance in the first team, player like; Henen, Tarashaj, Tom Davies, Lookman, and others would all look great in the Dutch league, But they are either 4th choice for our team or nowhere near it. So they don't get a chance to prove what they can do

But if he was here then he'd bring in players that were good enough get a chance otherwise the club wouldn't sanction us going for them?

Highly doubt they'd get a guy in this week and let him instantly sign players mate haha.
