How much do we pay for walsh to not find anything we actually need? Or do all his scouting in the premier league?

It really is funny, we as a club actually pay someone to tell us there is no left back available in the world, who told us there was no other manager in the world better than allardyce, who told us there was no striker (and subsequently gloated at all the 'failed' strikers who did move) in the world.

Steve walsh sums up Moshiri's Everton. We pay him for failure and then bemoan it on the pitch. To this date, Steve walsh has not signed any hidden Gem that any manager has trusted to even play in the first team, out of 200 million plus spent, that is a terrible track record! And now selling players we have only just signed, well that is yet more failure, especially at 25 million a go.

Wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I think my mind is firmly made up now

In the last 18 months he has overseen the best part of £300m in signings and we are arguably worse off than when we started

Of the 18 or so first team signings, you could only probably argue that two of them (Pickford and Gueye) have been completely successful - there's a certain amount of slack you have to give based on the fact that we've made a couple of completely duff managerial appointments in that time, but that record is poor

There was the striker debacle in the summer - we knew Lukaku was leaving since February, yet managed to not sign any replacement whatsoever

Now we have the left back farce - we took the calculated gamble of going into the season with only one recognised left back (who was nearly 33), he played every game and then ended up getting a nasty injury in November, meaning the only deputy we had was our 3rd choice right back who has been horrible at left back and throws out the balance of the sided hugely. We've had since November to look for a new left back, even on loan, we've seen other sides sign or loan new left backs in the last few days and yet we've come up short. Again.

This is mismanagement of the highest order

Line up replacements now and get rid of him as soon as is practically possible

The complete mishmash of players we've signed under his tenure is absolutely baffling. It's almost as if he pulls names out of a hat without any regard to whether the players he's targeting could even play together.

We've now been left with probably the most unbalanced squad we've had in decades, with no identifiable style of play. He must be held ultimately responsible for that.

it can not be coincidental this far down the line that the squad are just not compatible in any sort of way.

at least in 94/95 the dogs of war all had jobs to do and all got them done methodically.

If he pulls out a Vardy and Mahrez-esq transfer this window- fine. But this isn't likely. We have a rag tag team of different managers players, with a lot with high price tags and wages- the transfer policy and football style that he is supposed to be driving isn't apparent & he's had a very generous budget & opportunity to have a major say in this team. If he's been overruled by others- then it also means he's not good enough at his job.

It isn't likely because he didn't find them in the first place.
