Potentially 70 million spent on Gueye, Stek, Bolasie, Williams and Kone and not a single one of them comes from a team that finished above us in the league :D

Marquee signings lads

Because top 4 teams never pluck players from teams who finished below them the previous season? Where they came from isn't that important anyway, how they perform over the length of time they play for Everton is what matters.

Name one top 4 or even top 7 team who have signed a player over the age of 26 from a side who finished 15th or below in the league and paid over 15 million for him?

You're mistaking buying youthful prospects from lower league sides to buying players close to their prime for ridiculous fees. Bolasie has never even scored above 5 goals in a top flight season and is being valued at 30 million aged 27 and people laughed at Mane and Wijnaldum moving to them lot for 60 million.

Williams, great signing
Stek, solid signing
Gueye, Potentially very good signing
Kone, 6 months in the premier league tripled in value ... Could be very good but still relatively unproven
Bolasie, 30 million and almost has less goals and assists than mirallas in the last 2 seasons.

No one under the age of 26 so not potential prospects from lower league sides yet costing the same amount as Jese, Gotze, Bartra, Benatia to name a few who have moved for under 70 million and all european and domestic winners (albeit unrealistic signings for us)

And the point in the first place was we intended on making a statement this window, that statement atm is we can't attract the players so we have to settle for what we can get at inflated prices.

Feels a bit like moneyball... Maybe (ok definitely) not the most glamorous players but stats wise they have been exceptional last couple years... Note I'm not including Bolasie in this.. That one I don't understand. Trying to keep hold of some level do positivity here...

Seriously, why is everyone stressing how much money we are spending on players, it's not coming out of your account, it won't affect your overdraft, too much time spent on Champ Manager with a budget.
The current prices being quoted are realistic of where the market is at in this window, stop writing the players off before they arrive, remember these are lads who want to play for us, I'm sure the money helps as well, but they will be positive about doing well for us.
More than can be said of a couple of people I could mention.

Some of you need to get a hold of yourselves.

Leicester showed last season its not about individuals but a team game and how they gel. Until we are sliding down the table i think Walsh deserves some time to see how these and future signings work out in the grand scheme of things.

Some of you in here, start taking your meds, cry arsing about Moshiri if we don't sign anyone and then cry arsing about Walsh when we do.

And here endeth the point of the argument

You have to remember that this season the TV deal has meant prices are inflated. This is uncharted territory Bolasie for 25 million this year is like signing him for 12 million last year. We still have our old heads on. We are not used to being in a position where we can flash money around like this. Everything is good.
