Can't comment on his injuries at all, but he's defintely not "****e". He looked good before his injury this season, playing off Jelavic. He's usually commended for things like 'engine', 'workrate' and 'versatility', which give the impression he's nothing more than a plucky but limited player. However, he's actually pretty intelligent on the ball and is more natural capable than anyone we have at the moment at either right midfield or second striker. Not world class, of course, and two cruciate injuries in 3-4 years is obviously a concern, but a better player than some might think. I live close to Ibrox and saw him live on several occasions - always fairly impressed.

It's unlikely he'll go for nothing, but a nominal fee of significantly less than £2m would probably be an appealing alternative to legal proceedings for the new owners.

Him and the other feller, Whittaker, sound like proper Judas' (that's real Judas' as opposed to our players hung out to dry by the board when they flog them off):

"Both Steven and I and our agent fought hard with administrators during negotiations to insert clauses that offered protection to staff and players at the club. I am extremely proud of the actions we took but I am disappointed and angry that Rangers Football Club no longer exists in its original form."

Using a legal change of status to free themselves off to walk away for a nice new signing on fee at another club and bump their wages.

I sincerely hope Moyes shows these rats the contempt they deserve.

So you're a Judas for leaving a club that will soon be playing in the Scottish third division and haven't either payed your wages for months or forced you into a 75% pay cut? Right...

No mate because they're already being paid loads so a 75% pay cut still means they're paid loads so they should be grateful and shut up. I wish i could play in the Scottish third division they should be grateful and stay loyal to the team, even though it doesn't really exist anymore.

Naismith is a very good player, works hard, is very intelligent with his movement and can keep hold of the ball, made up he's coming on a free.

Haha modern day players being loyal.

Today with players and managers its a case of " show me the money "

Not sure if serious...

Personally think Naismith has shown enough loyalty towards Rangers already, by taking that 75% pay cut in the first place. It's his job and in the short time of his career he'll have to try to make as much money as possible, can't hold that against him. Rangers would've had no problems flogging him if he was too old or not doing the business for them anymore. So I'd say his decision to quit Rangers is a professional choice from his part, instead of acting like 'Judas'.

Loyalty sadly has no (or at least very little) place anymore in Modern Football. It's unfair to Naismith expecting him to be different.

If someone cut my contract by 75% I'd be of like a fecking shot not matter what money I was on.

Not convinced he would greatly benefit us though
