Dave are you happy with anyone we've signed in the last 5 years???

I'm always happy with decent players coming in. ALWAYS. If I dont happen to like the way this feller came in is that not a valid opinion?

What goes around comes around, btw. If we get seen as a club that holds the knife to the throat of another club in trouble dont start complaining when we get mugged by others. I bet others in the game have taken note.

The Rangers fans are calling him 'Paysmith', Judas and 'the wee rat'. Let's have it right shall we.

Many certainly are but most did and still rate him above Jelavic , from reading your posts I understand your still not convinced on him but IF he continues his end of season form and Naismith is as anywhere as good obviously qe'd all be happy wouldn't we ?

I've answered that before. The answer is no.

Look, I've always loathed the likes of Barmby for his antics. Shall I now jib all that and become a hypocrite to welcome this bit of piracy? I think I'll try and remain consistent.

Maybe they should note that he, along with other senior players, took a 75% paycut to help the club going into administartion; really a 'wee rat' in that circumstance.

And don't use the 'if this was Everton we'd be hanging him' because, if this situation did happen to Everton i'd be more concerned that our entire history has been underdone and we no longer exist, i'd expect players to leave if we got relegated to Division 1 or 2 and my anger would be towards the people who put us in that position and not a player who wants to prolong his career in a higher division

this has got to be your worst and least thought out post Dave. your way ott now man

Tbf there has been a lot of Rangers fans tweeting him wishing him the best and saying that Everton have a good player on their hands.

But yes, I've heard a couple of shouts like the ones you just mentioned too. Think he's split the fans a bit there.

I disagree with Davek that Naismith owes Rangers anything at all, but, if this was 20-30 years ago it would most likely see the players stay and get them back to where they belong for the fans of the club. Players like Fleck and others have been given their footballing education by the club and maybe should feel they owe it something.

Tht type of integrity doesn't exist in the game anymore, it's that simple. I don't expect anymore from a player than any other paid employee in any industry. If you get a player that's a bit different then it's a bonus.

100% but i think Davek must skip posts like this.

You're having a laugh lad. If this happened to Everton and half a dozen players fcuked off when we could do with a transfer fee to keep the wolf from the door they'd never be able to come within a 20 mile radius of Liverpool again....and quite rightly so too.

Absolutely right, I mean we've never been mugged by opportunistic clubs like Newcastle taking away players on a free due to contract extensions only being on a verbal agreement as opposed to being wirtten down, or had our better players tapped up and unsettled at the start of pretty much every recent season...

As for this situation, we'll have to face up to the fact that we'll be lumped in with the other predatory sharks such as... Norwich, FC Sion, and Coventry... hmm, not exactly axis of evil stuff, is it?:dodgy:

Great news to hear he's signed,

Rangers fans are raving about Naismith and saying how lucky we are to have him.

Really hope he forms a partnership with Jelavic as he looks to be Cahill's replacement in that 'second striker' role.

Not so sure about that - I think we might play Felli further up this season and perhaps if and when Naismith is in the starting XI (not guaranteed IMO) he'll play wider.

I can see Dave's point but what goes around does indeed come around. We've been f*cked off before too and if you take the moral highground, you're only f*cking yourself over even more.

I feel sorry for the Rangers fans and I'll understand any of them who are pissed off at us and Naismith, but I'm sorry, we've got to put ourselves first. The only thing fair in football is Phil Neville's hair.

M<ugged by Newcastle iver Gosling? I think you might have misunderstood what happened there: our incompetency in signing him up meant he walked because his contract had run down. Chalk and cheese.
...oh, and two wrongs and all that...
