i thought about this, i reckon it's either because
a) other teams are interested so of course will try and start a bidding war; or
b) because we have such a cluster of fixtures coming up, he's using it as a smokscreen to have him available for those games/biding time to find an adequate replacement (although i'm sure they would have known this would happen back in september)
Manager needs to grow a pair and get rid of average, overrated footballers that are keeping us mid table. Use that money in January for a better replacement if possible.
Same applies with Kone. Watching that donkey parading on our hallowed turf weekly is disturbing to me. And some had the gall to ask me to apologise to him when he fluked that hatrick...

i don't mind kone, but he's been hidious this last month and shouldn't be starting. He obviously is looking to get rid of naismith, but he's not going to get rid of him on the 1st Jan, when we have loads of fixtures coming up, before he's identified the replacement. That's madness. The £8m won't be used by us on the first day, and the offer won't have gone by the next day. He'll surely buy a striker, he sees naismith as the 3rd choice striker, leandro has been injured too much so far to bump him up yet. With that in mind, he can't sell two strikers and buy two new ones mid season, not with our generous board. That's my opinion anyway.

Any day in January is fine

Imagine £8m for Naismith, £6m for Anichebe and £7m for Jelavic.

Say what you like about Kenwright, but when he sells a player he rinses the buying club.

£8m for a 29 year old player we signed on a free? Good business that. Cheers Norwich, and cheers for the effort Naismith. Was very useful last year and whilst he's obviously very limited he does know how to hit the back of the net. I do find it a bit sad seeing that he's racked up over 100 appearances for us though, we should've been aiming higher for some time.

Imagine getting a couple of million from someone like Villa for McGeady too, that'd be pleasant.

One of the most fickle men in football, make no mistake if we were in a bad way this albino rat would jump ship in an instant, throw in the lack of talent and i will celebrate his departure

Can't agree with that. He came to a league miles better than the one he was in previously and has delivered. We all knew he'd come in and be played as a winger by Moyes, and it was only when Martinez shifted him to a secondary striker position that we saw what he could do.

But, ultimately, he's not of the quality we need to push us on right now, and if he goes, I wish him all the best - plus it'd very good money.
