Certain this deal will go through. It is probably a combination of factors holding everything up... Norwich haggling, us standing firm and maybe even 2 or 3 other clubs showing interest. Either way 8m is a fair price for a (if somewhat limited) goal scorer in the premierleague.

NEIL CONFIDENT ON NAISMITH DEAL
Alex Neil confirmed that he is still hopeful that Norwich will sign Everton striker Steven Naismith before the end of the transfer window but he stopped short of saying any deal was done.

The Scotsman’s Norwich side lost 3-0 to Bournemouthand was visibly frustrated when talking about his side’s performance.

The Canaries have been linked with Naismith since the end of the summer transfer window and had a bid of £8m turned down on deadline day.

Since the January window re-opened, speculation about Naismith’s future reignited again and when asked whether the transfer had been completed, Neil said:

Regarding Steven, at the moment I can say nothing is for definite. There has been a lot of talk about this deal and until things are complete and it’s over the line there isn’t much to say. It’s been nearly there for the best part of two weeks now so we’ll wait and see.

Let's hope Neill doesn't get sacked first, Norwich are woeful at the moment.

I reckon he'll be gone by our next game
