NEIL CONFIDENT ON NAISMITH DEAL
Alex Neil confirmed that he is still hopeful that Norwich will sign Everton striker Steven Naismith before the end of the transfer window but he stopped short of saying any deal was done.

The Scotsman’s Norwich side lost 3-0 to Bournemouthand was visibly frustrated when talking about his side’s performance.

The Canaries have been linked with Naismith since the end of the summer transfer window and had a bid of £8m turned down on deadline day.

Since the January window re-opened, speculation about Naismith’s future reignited again and when asked whether the transfer had been completed, Neil said:

Regarding Steven, at the moment I can say nothing is for definite. There has been a lot of talk about this deal and until things are complete and it’s over the line there isn’t much to say. It’s been nearly there for the best part of two weeks now so we’ll wait and see.
Thank God.

just jib him off, him and mcgeady's wages will be easily enough for yarmolenko's. Plus the 8m to put towards his transfer fee...... yarmolenko is like that dead gorgeous bird your mate keeps telling you about that you've never met but automatically semi fall in love with, sake.

Given that Norwich is going to go down, will he even go? Don't championship players have to take a pay cut?

It must be dragging because Martinez surprisingly told the truth about an ankle knock and must be looking for a suitable replacement who can come in.

Depends on if they agree to a relegatuon clause in their contract and what it is.
Some players it's a percentage cut, others it an agreement they'll be sold. Some don't even have the clause and the wages are part funded by the parachute payment for a couple of years because they assume they will get promoted again straight away
