I hope he does really well at Norwich and that he keeps them up.

When we signed him, I was baffled and I thought he had a poor start. But to his credit he turned it around and became a very good squad player for us scoring some absolutely vital goals in big matches, notably against Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Remember him making a big impact away at Fulham when we were going for 4th. Was an awesome day out.

While we can't grumble at £8m for a player of his calibre, personally people already celebrating appear to be somewhat naive and unrealistic!

Not the most technically gifted player in the world, but he's scored some important goals for the club and influences a number of vital games.

I think people often forget his contribution throughout his time at the club, too often being clouded by his lack of technical ability.

But what he lacks there he's made up in tenacity and effort, which are vital attributes in themselves. Personally, I'll be sad to see him leave.

Also, his departure will also leave us thread-bare up front with only Rom and Koné as recognised first team strikers, supported by Mirallas.

An injury to Rom would be catastrophic! If we get someone else in during the window then great, but knowing Everton that'll probably not happen.

"The deal went through too late... we couldn't find someone who meets our needs... the January window is not valuable for money"

If he goes for £7m+ its a good deal for us. Its also a good deal for Norwich and the player. He's not playing a big part here just now. He's 29 and needs to be playing. He's a hard working player with an eye for a goal and has a niggly streak in him. Think he'll suit a team thats fighting for its Premier League status. Wish him the best. And if we spend the money wisely to bring in better quality then jobs a good un.

£8m for a player who never plays is boss mate.
