The very definition of boss slotter.

Sometimes does my head in but happy to be piped down whenever this happens.

He knows where the net is that lad....I don't care if his real name is Geoff Nulty...he can finish and has a tendency to cause windmills

What better player would you honestly expect to replace him in todays market who could have the same impact in the £6m-£8m bracket?

Nailed it. For that sort of money we'd find it very difficult to buy a replacement who fits into our squad as neatly. If we had the odd 20 million to spunk on a squad player then I'd happily sell him, but we don't.

For sure, technically he's not great with the ball at his feet, unless he's aiming at goal. If we could get a shrink to convince him to visualise goalposts and nets every time he was passing to a teammate he'd be amazing.

The thing is, he's a striker. He's never been given a chance to be that guy at Everton. With Rom it's understandable. You'd never willingly put him upfront on his own if Rom is available, but he'd probably boss it at a place like Norwich.

A support/second striker, yes. He's shown often enough that he can't really play as a lone striker for us.

Just want to say I wasn't totally fuming when we turned down the 8 mill for him, mainly because I rate him as a hard worker who gets us important goals and he seems a decent lad.

I also thought there was no point in letting him go so late in the window without bringing anyone in #yarmo for example.

However, I was pissed off today when Besic got injured and I saw Naismith coming on, haha egg on my face.

Made up for the lad.

With some of the stick he gets, this is the perfect response! :)

What he lacks in style & finesse, he makes up for in sheer tenacity. Sometimes you need a player who will chase every lost cause. Yes, this can make him an ineffective, headless chicken at times, but today it paid off.

Still think he is no more than a (good) squad player due to his inconsistency, but he pulled a blinder today!

Well in Naisy, lad! :D
