Surprised no one has mentioned the superb step over turn before his first goal. Didn't think he was capable of such things!

I fully agree with what a few have said already, in a game where we need to break down a team parking the bus he shouldn't be playing but in a game like today he is a very useful talent!
Exactly and that's why he should be used as a squad player. There are a lot of better players ability wise at Everton, but the guy is an enormous handy option to have at our disposal. Doesn't mean he should be an automatic starter for us, but always a valuable squad member for me. Same as Osman has been for years. He gets an awful amount of criticism aimed at him, but I'm glad we have players like that who can step in when needed.

Needs to play behind Lukaku on Sat.

They are rattled right now so we need someone to wind them up even more and hassle them non stop.

He'll obviously be crap when he gets the ball other than if he gets a 1 on 1 with Courtois but i reckon his strengths outweigh his weaknesses for this game.

Meh, 1 on 1 with Courtois or 25 yards out with Begovic, it's all the same.

I wanted him to play today and thought he'd have an impact but not quite in the way that he did.

I think the criticism for Naismith is because he's not helpful at breaking down teams during our most frustrating games where we have all the possession but don't create a chance. When frustrated that's when we're at our most critical. If played right he can be a hugely valuable asset though, certainly more valuable than 8m!

Agreed. He certainly isn't always the answer to our problem, but surely Martinez is the one who should face the criticism for that? Naismith doesn't play himself. Games like today are tailor made for Naisy though.

Scores the big goals in the big games....

Would start him against the RS...not so much against Swansea or WBA

exactly this really. same goes for barry for me. it's what ferguson used to do with player like park ji sung. i was against selling him, mainly because it was so late in the window, but also because he's a bit different to what we have. we have enough sellable assets without selling a guy whose scored 6 in 7 vs chelsea?

Under Moyes I could see why he cost nothing, as basically he was useless

Under RM he has Proven his worth

I Saudi the ha trick could not of gone to a nicer fella

Well done and thankyou
