Steven Naismith

Let's be honest we rarely sell players and I believe our squad will suffer from his departure.
Yeah we talk about Yarmolenko etc but they are not coming and certainly not in January. He is a solid squad player who gives everything for the shirt and pops up with vital goals.
Let's lose the snobbery like the Redshite and actually praise him on his positives.

He will. And we won't string 3 passes together in the final third for the 60 minutes he's on the pitch, then he'll go off at 1-0 down and we'll turn it round to win 2-1. Standard

Standard? When did that actually happen?

I wouldn't start him tonight, unless Barkley is dropped deeper. I think Martinez should play his strongest team, with a semi final at stake and the next game not for 6 days. We know that Hoel will play and obviously McCarthy injured. I would bring in Mirallas or Cleverley and rest Kone, the rest should stay the same, unless Baines is back?

Happened against West Brom but we were actually 2-0 down and won 3-2

I hope the £8m offer still stands. Maybe shown him out of the door as he wants first team footie along with McGeady and sign Yarmolenko.

I wonder how he feels about that Norwich offer being rejected right now. He'd have got a lot more minutes for them than he has for us so far this season and probably for the rest of the season too.

I don't think that any sensible person wants Steven Naismith sold.
But, is Steven Naismith happy to accept a role at Everton that is becoming ever more peripheral.
Apart from the run he got after the Chelsea hattrick he has been very much on the outside this season.
I think he is a good professional and wants to play every week. I don't think he will rock the boat in January to force a sale,
but for the right offer he may be released and I do believe he will leave in the summer.

Any sensible person should want him sold for 8 mil

This completely

I agree that he is a hard worker and is probably great to have in the dressing room and it seemed he helped Stones alot during the Chelsea saga!
But 8 million for a 30 year old forward who isnt much cop bar popping up with a goal here or there!
I would cash in on that if the offer is still on the table and see what young strikers we have around the european leagues as back up/help for Rom

Put him in the box and he scores. Good at heading, good at finding space, massive snide. Up front with a goal behind he's a great option to have off the bench

I'm sure the lad accepts that the team picks itself at the moment so he will have to be patient and bide his time. I still think he has a role to play this season, even as an impact sub.

Gonna start a petition as there seems to be a lot of interest in this thread to have the points we won against Chelsea to be reduce to a draw.

The bile spewed in this thread by some whoppers is disgusting. Give your heads a wobble.

Yeah some players are given more leeway than others. Naismith scores a hat trick against Chelsea and earns begrudged praise from some on here. Next time he misplaces a pass he's the worst player on the planet again!
