I have no issue with Naismith, hard working, works for the team, great finisher and does great things in the community.

At times you need players with fibre and a work ethic to push the recognised starting 11, in Naismith he gives his all and for me I appreciate the total effort

A shame really that the likes of Miralles doesn't adopt some of Naismiths quality's

I think that's a fair post. But if Naismith wants to play more, then i'd have no issue with him going.

Considering he was a free transfer and really struggled in his first season, if he goes for anything upwards of £5 million then no one can deny he was a great bit of business, having scored some important goals in the process!

This is regardless of what people think of his 'ability' (which he has proven he has by the way)

HAS HE

HAS HE

I have a lot of time for him. He'd be a mainstay in half the teams in the league - that's not to say he'd be guaranteed a place as that's not how any team really works these days. Look at Sunderland and West Bromwich they both rotate at will.

If we sell him we'd be short so we'd have to bring in a replacement. I'd back Martinez.

Andre Gray please.

He hasn't been used AT ALL in the last 8 games or something, where do people get the idea that we'd be so woefully short if we sold him?

Manager Roberto Martinez will discuss Steven Naismith’s future at Everton with the forward next month and could sanction a move away from Goodison Park.
Naismith has found himself increasingly sidelined, with Romelu Lukaku, Arouna Kone, Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley monopolising the attacking positions.

Norwich, Everton’s opponents on Saturday, made a deadline-day bid for Naismith in the summer but were rebuffed by Martinez.
However, with Naismith not having been involved in a Premier League game since mid-October, it appears a move in January could be on the cards.
Martinez said: “That’s something we need to look into whenever that situation arises. It happened in August, it wasn’t the right time. We’re going to see how the next three or four weeks go.
“It’s so important to have a strong squad. We’ve got a period of a lot of games in a short amount of days and every single player will have a very important role in those weeks.
“So I’m sure in four or five weeks we’ll have a clear idea of where we are and it’ll be the right time to make a decision.
“Steven is a very intelligent man, intelligent footballer, and I think he’s got an incredible degree of confidence.
“It is true it’s been very frustrating for certain players in those attacking positions due to the fact some of the players that are playing in those roles have reached an incredible level of form. I think as a player you understand that.”

Well last two in the league we drew and needed fresh legs on the pitch to replace tired players, but Martinez choose to not make subs, could of done with him then.

We could just as easily have thrown Mirallas on. It says a lot that he'd rather stick with knackered players than use Naismith. I think it's over for him at Everton now
