Steven Naismith

I only had a problem with the way Martinez used him. I honestly wouldn't have been to disapointed if he was subbed into the Palace game because he can get those scrappy goals you need to win a game. Ntm he is an excellent finisher in the box; he just sucks on the ball

Sounds like hes off to me.

Hoping for no injuries now so Martinez doesnt use him and we get in some £££

Manager Roberto Martinez will discuss Steven Naismith’s future at Everton with the forward next month and could sanction a move away from Goodison Park.
Naismith has found himself increasingly sidelined, with Romelu Lukaku, Arouna Kone, Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley monopolising the attacking positions.

Norwich, Everton’s opponents on Saturday, made a deadline-day bid for Naismith in the summer but were rebuffed by Martinez.
However, with Naismith not having been involved in a Premier League game since mid-October, it appears a move in January could be on the cards.
Martinez said: “That’s something we need to look into whenever that situation arises. It happened in August, it wasn’t the right time. We’re going to see how the next three or four weeks go.
“It’s so important to have a strong squad. We’ve got a period of a lot of games in a short amount of days and every single player will have a very important role in those weeks.
“So I’m sure in four or five weeks we’ll have a clear idea of where we are and it’ll be the right time to make a decision.
“Steven is a very intelligent man, intelligent footballer, and I think he’s got an incredible degree of confidence.
“It is true it’s been very frustrating for certain players in those attacking positions due to the fact some of the players that are playing in those roles have reached an incredible level of form. I think as a player you understand that.”

Feel a little bit of spirit will leave with him but he deserves to playing and loved somewhere.
Mate who works at one of places he does charity work for said he's a really genuine guy with passion for everything he does and for people.
Hat trick against Chelsea deserves to go down as one of the great Everton performances. If he goes then hope we see him back here soon, playing well and grabbing a well deserved consolation goal.

HAS HE

HAS HE

Of course he has, he has played good games and scored goals in the Barclays premier league, people with no footballing ability can't do that.

He hasn't been used AT ALL in the last 8 games or something, where do people get the idea that we'd be so woefully short if we sold him?

Injuries, loss of fitness/form with other attackers. The fact we have a busy schedule coming up.

Didn't know he was so generous towards the homeless, he should have mentioned it at some point

Perhaps the publicity part of what he does helps to raise awareness of the charities he helps?

It's kind of like saying that I'm going to do a half marathon for charity, but I'm not telling anyone, they might think it's all about me.

The problem i have with the sale of Steven and possibly Kevin is that we have had any injury's to kone or gerrard ! if we lose either they will be called upon , if we start selling all these bench players , who will we have left to play if we get any injury's or fatigue to the positions they play in, Aiden seems to be a player lost of confidence of himself and manager and piennar i doubt will ever play in a blue shirt again

Crap players can still score the odd goal mate. Shaun Bartlett got a hat trick against Liverpool once

Of course I mean "crap" when compared to his peers in the Premier League, rather than crap compared to the average joe on the street. But I'll pay you the compliment of assuming you knew what I was talking about there

I agree that his technical ability doesn't always match his intelligence on a football field, he's a good team player though and brings something a bit different when required. I'd keep hold of him
