You're right, it's not entirely true. After the Chelsea game:

Played 90 minutes in the 0-0 away to Swansea.
72 minutes vs WBA away in the 3-2 win.
90 minutes vs Liverpool in the 1-1 draw.
90 minutes vs Utd, in a game everyone played terribly in.

He's not featured for Everton at all since Oct 17, apart from 4 minutes at the end of the Boro cup game.

I genuinely don't think he's been treated fairly and think he's a good option as a sub, coming on for the last 15-20 minutes in tight games. I don't subscribe to this idea some people have that he's some sort of Stuart Barlow figure. I'd play him ahead of Kone.

I'm really not sure why the Naismith hate seems to have increased of late, despite him playing virtually no games for us in the last 2 months.
The problem with that is the fact that Naismith thinks Naismith isn't a good option off the bench, as he wants to start games.

The problem with THAT is that attacks go to him to break down. At this point it's pretty much a fact he's not got any technique and can't control a ball, and not to mention his brilliant amazing passing skills.

Going nowhere. Very happy at Everton, just wants to play a bit more.

Celebrating Christmas Eve with his missus & child, and John Stones & his girlfriend. Moia just tweeted a pic:

I am told he is already off, pending an absolute sh!t storm between now and January.
Norwich have had an offer of 7.5 accepted.

I don't even think it's that. It's the fact we've had 10 games since the United game and he's played 4 minutes of football. Anyone with a bit of pride (as he clearly has) would be very disappointed with that. Especially when we've only won 4 of those 10 games.

He said yesterday he wanted to fight for his place. Wouldn't be saying that if he was going, he'd be saying nothing at all. Got a young child and wife settled in Cheshire. Can't see him wanting to uproot his family to Norfolk, and for a club in a relegation battle.

He'd also hardly say 'yeah I'm off in January so if I am needed over the festive period I'm going to play like a nob head' either.

He was saying that before those games as well, and always when he's out of the team for crap performances, even if it's just for a few games. "I can't wait to start" seems to be the only thing he thinks about, which is fair enough, but what exactly does he offer more than Kone, who's also really crap but can at least hold the ball up if nothing else?

Just for clarity;

He is on 40k per week.
Norwich have had a bid provisionally accepted of 7.5 up front.
Middlesbrough have bid and been rejected.
Villa have had a bid knocked back.
Sunderland have had a bid knocked back.

Hes not going to say 'yes I am happy to leave' on an official website is he.

He could also not do any interview at all, as is his choice.

Footballers on their way out get told by their agent to say nothing, as saying stuff weakens their bargaining position.

My point is, he voluntarily voiced his determination to force his way back in.

Hardly the words of someone on their way out - and yes, there was an alternative, he could have said nothing.

The fact he's not being played currently doesn't look good for him.

But I'm not going to join in the rejoicing if he leaves because I like him as a player & a person. If we played to his strengths he'd do a job for us.
