Exactly. Yobo will likely play right back and leap all over the show.

Interesting from Moyes that.

yep very interesting

how many times have we seen hibbert getting caught with a cross from deep only for him to look over his shoulder and see someone like steven taylor spotting one past him.

Except Moyes has already stated that contract negotiations are positive.

Moyes also revealed positive news on contract negotiations with Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell.
Talks between the Club and the midfield pair are progressing well.
“I think everything is moving along," Moyes continued. "The chairman and the chief executive will be handling that and hopefully they will be coming to a conclusion sooner rather than later."

Spin that one?

Don't need to spin anything, it happens each season, positive news to get sales.

What is the delay?

He's injured.

As for the team, it looks very uncreative to me, and that's one thing we should be looking to do, keep the ball on the pitch and retain possession. Playing like this plays to there strengths a bit, basically saying we'll give you throw ins and set pieces and try and combat it with six foot plus defenders. Yobo is an awful right back so I'm guessing Jagielka will do a job out there.

Hopefully Arteta and Neville get a grip of that midfield and control the game, they are going to need to with Yobo, Distin and Jagielka at the back.

Surprised Hibbert isn't playing?

Considering his relationship with Moyes and the fact that he had his best game in a while, yes.

Would I have played him? No. I'd have pushed Neville back there and brought Jack Rodwell in. Then we get the height without worrying about messing up the balance of the side. But maybe Jack isn't fit enough to start.

Yeah I'm just surprised there wasn't a case of the Bubonic Plague raging through Finch Farm this week. Just can't keep players fit this club.

At least they're common knocks and injuries rather than knee-wreckers and season killers as per start of the season.

Maybe we will go 5-3-2? We've had Yobo, Jagielka and Distin as a defensive three at the ends of quite a few games this season.

Seriously that is one one weird ass team.

I understand the changes at the back but how the hell are we gonna line up in mid and attack?

Alright, gonna go out on a rare limb here (I rarely make these predictions), but Ossie is gonna score today.
