Stones tells Everton he wants Man City transfer

Thing is.

We sign a first team ready defender to replace him and our defence will improve now rather than in 3 years time. So whoever his replacement ends up being, it could well improve the first 11 straight away which would be worth more places in the League.

So as much as I'd say for stones to stay, swapping a 21 year old defender for one more experienced and better now , only benefits us.
Wow
So insight
Much anxiety

Completely agreed.

What we need to do is make an impact in the transfer market and, more importantly, in competition right now. I feel selling Stones and bringing in solid, seasoned pros instead will improve us.

I don't get the criticism of Stones in regards to ego etc. I personally think the lad has handled himself impeccably, bar the "calm down" gesture to the fans last season, which is just one of those things.

I'll wish him well when he goes.

Odd, that woman has a beard.

Legitimately only just realised that was Enrique Iglesias. Didn't realise his mole had been removed. I thought it was a transsexual with a beard, like that one from Eurovision.

If what the echo are saying is true, then I feel sorry for Stones if Man City, or anyone else don't meet, or get close to our valuation of him, and he has to stay with us, especially with the amount of grief he's getting on here now.

It's likely that his agent will have sounded out Man City before putting in a request. They'll have got an indication from City as to what they'd be prepared to spend. Noone is going to put in a transfer request unless his advisors are confident there's a willing buyer prepared to pay the likely asking price - why would you make yourself vulnerable in such a way?

If the selling price does end up being 53 million, even after Barnsley's 15% cut that's still a profit of over 40 million. Would be huge for the amount of money Moshiri could then turn around and spend.

Totally agree but it looks like he already has a lot of cash burning a hole in his pocket mate. Who would he buy ?
