But once he had two gash seasons with Bayern he moved on and scored loads of goals. As Yakubu has done.

I think Yakubu shouldn't have been sold and should have been given more game time, especially after a boss derby performance, but some people seem to think that just before he left he was scoring 10 goals a game for us.

No one thinks that. The people who now wish we'd kept him (and especially the people who didn't want us to sell him before he actually went) know he wasn't scoring, but I doubt anyone would want us to have kept him and then used him exactly how we had been before.

Personally, I'd have liked to see him partner another striker or play with someone like Ossie behind. And also... you know... play properly up front and in the box, not out wide or deep collecting the ball. The lack of a link between our midfield and attack in recent seasons has been staggering, and Cahill is part of the problem -- he does not do that job effectively at all. As is Moyes' reluctance to play anyone other than Cahill there.

This argument is going around in circles because people are taking fachts from whatever season it suits their arguement.

If you took an in-form Strak over an in-form Yak then there's something seriously wrong.

Yeah. An in form Straq wouldn't moan over his wages when he was a club top earner for one. Then sulk until he got a move.

Didn't know you could see into the future.

You really do talk some utter garbage.

Different characters lad. Different characters all together.

One works hard on the training pitch and in the gym. The other didn't.

Ones grateful for his chances. The other wasn't.

At least we're not villa!

But i thought you said Yak only works hard when he moves clubs. How do you know Denis won't do the same in a season or two ?

Oh yeah, you don't.

Garbage, is what you talk.

To be fair to the Yak the stats post injury are very misleading, i dont remember him starting that many games post injury, he may have came on for ten minute cameos here and there and less after he fell out with Davey.

I think most people when they talk about games after he came back from injury need to keep in mind they were brief cameos.

RFUS and one or two others in the summer were the only ones to back the Yak this season and called it as the mistake it was to let him go, forza Napoli/Belgium.

Yeah. Yak does only work hard when he moves clubs.

Then he loses interest and wants more money.
