Stupid mistakes you’ve made

What’s the most daft decision you e ever made ? I mean the things that seemed a good idea at the time but turned out horribly wrong ?

For many years now I’ve had an intolerance to most dairy products, if I mistakenly eat cheese, butter etc the results are horrendous and almost immediate. Anyhow, a few weeks ago I was at a McDonald’s drive through and had the sudden urge to try a strawberry milkshake. I knew there was a chance I’d suffer if I had a reaction but it was a steaming hot day and I needed something cold. Turns out though that I didn’t become ill after it so was a little victory.
Yesterday I was on a course near Shrewsbury and on the long drive home one of my colleagues suggested stopping at maccies for a milkshake …. I thought yeah, why not, I had one a few weeks ago and was fine.

Lads/Ladies…… from approximately 7pm last night I think most of my innards have vacated my body through every orifice known to man…. Sipping water to keep hydrated … and feel like I’ve been thoroughly destroyed by some alien infestation in my body..

F YOU MILKSHAKE YOU CREEPY SPITEFUL SNEAKY BARSTEWARD

Big mistake

Oh

And obviously all yer mar’s too
Mine All seemed like good ideas at the time, literally and figuratively the story of my life.
Some actually were and the ones that weren't - well there's only so much shiz you can remember, so why bother.
Be happy, don't worry etc

I found a washer in my bedroom as a kid, instead of trying to find where it came from, I wondered if I could flip it in the air and catch it like flipping a pancake off a pan. I didn't use my thumb though, no no, I chose my tongue to do the flipping.

Washer flips down into the throat
I start choking
Dad hears commotion and proceeds to do the heimlich maneuver
Sees washer fly out and questions my logic.

I was 11.

there was a hole in the middle of the washer, thus a washer? ;)

edit:- forget the washer, this tongue dexterity sounds fascinating, do you give the other half a regular tongue-lashing?

Set up a business with two other people. One of them suggested the third. I knew the third and my gut said I could not trust him, dodgy weird psycho but lots of talent, but no I did not trust him.
My 'rational' mind persuaded me to go with it. Cost me £250,000 and I only had £100,000. Five years later and a scale down in the house, just recovered. Having said that now more content than I have been since 2011.
