Set up a business with two other people. One of them suggested the third. I knew the third and my gut said I could not trust him, dodgy weird psycho but lots of talent, but no I did not trust him.
My 'rational' mind persuaded me to go with it. Cost me £250,000 and I only had £100,000. Five years later and a scale down in the house, just recovered. Having said that now more content than I have been since 2011.

This is not worth a wow or sad, just a bit of advice to trust your instinct. I have often sidelined it because it lacks evidence, but in hindsight it has always been right.
