He’s been discussed quite a bit. He has no agility, big and fast in a straight line, he’s nowhere near as good as Aboubakar. I honestly think he’s not good enough for the PL and certainly not good enough for us. No one in their right mind would pay more than 5M for him.

..cheers, very interesting. He looks a similar shape to Holgate and those clips indicate plenty of games as a LB.
Just checked and he’s actually 6ft 1in.

I read a bit on him last night, they seem to think long term he will be a CB. I haven’t watched the clip, apparently technically very good, quick and good in the air
..we desperately need players with Rolls Royce engines so i’m much happier being linked with this lad than Vida.

One young CB with loads of potential fir a decent price. And maybe one mid twenties who goes straight into the team.
...yep. We were linked with Issa Diop but I think he went to West Ham.

But we've got enough young centre backs, got a few highly rated players in the youth and Holgate, as well as two oldies. We need centre backs in their prime age, we let the only one we had in that bracket go.
Not sure why age matters over ability. You’d hardly turn your nose up at Varane and Umtiti signing would you.

Seen a few on twitter like this, all saying he filled in mostly at left back last season but is much better as a left sided centre half.
Sounds ideal as it’s a left sided centre back we need, but we’d also have a back up left back as well. Loves a drag back going by that vid so on that alone I’m in!
Who, Funes Mori? Yeh he fell into the age bracket but he's not very good.
I agree with the principle though. Think we need a CB in the 24-28 range.
In fairness, Varane is 25 and Umtiti 24. They're entering their prime years in a way and are both vastly experienced (even though I appreciate most CBs are at their best by 28/29).
