Summer 2018 Transfer Window

I’ve nothing against the guy at all and indeed fair play to the gentleman as he clearly loves the club.

I’ve just adopted a very cynical position to anything he says. Given the upheaval at structural level since he was posting here last season I’m not sure if anything he says is just speculating on information coming from a low level sauce (ie own brand rather than HP or Heinz)

His intentions do seem to be 100%

If Moshiri can’t afford to back us financially in the transfer windows, then he might as well just get out. Sick of this ‘sell to buy’ policy that we’ve operated for decades. It’s going to get us nowhere, as two decades without a trophy suggests.

4th highest spenders in the whole of Europe, 287m invested into the club in 2 years, but he should leave cos youve wet the bed.

LOL

Guys don’t worry about the dead weight in our squad...coming deadline day I am sure we will get offers including permanent ones for those unwanted footballers such as Mirallas Bolasie Williams or Klaassen. The problem is that if we are waiting first to get rid of those players, one it will be too late to get any decent players in and two they might decide to stay if they see little competition in their positions. Just go out and buy what you need now...by deadline day our wage bill will reduce anyhow. It’s clear that the club has no money at all an Moshiri has no intention like last year to give us some this time around. Not sure what was the need to get Brand and pay him handsomely when it’s not going to do anything...unless of course his job is to sell players rather than buy.

Probably because we've just spent 250m on absolute losers m8.
So we pull the plug on trying to progress because the previous set-up made mistakes? The only way we move forward is by spending money. If he can’t put up, then he should get out of here.

That isn't what is happening though? The squad is too big the wage bill is too high. It's pretty simple.

How do you know what is happening?

We should be prioritising incomings given how terrible the team is. Less than 5 weeks until the first game and we’ll have new signings not really knowing their team mates.

This is 2016 all over again.

Sell to buy, will end up having another terrible season.

We had a pretty good season in 16/17.

We'll make signings.

We have more than enough time.

It's clear that the priority is shipping players out and also establishing if we can use the players we spent so much money on in the last few years - which is what Silva will be doing right now.

Definitely need improvements in key areas but they will come in, 3-4 signings - of quality, in the right positions - and we've had a good summer.
