Even if they work out, I still think they need to be viewed in light of the total team. They've lost some folks and seems like Lazini is out for a majority of the year. Does anyone think Wilshere is an upgrade over Lanzini or even Mario, who I thought was playing really well by the end of the year for them?

Wasn’t Lanzini’s injury not as bad as first thought?

Wiltshire and Yarmolenko would walk into our team.
Never been Wilshire’s biggest fan but we have missed a link player like him.
Most people were made up when we were linked with Yarmolenko.

If we would have signed both most would say great business but cos it’s WestHam we look down on them, it will be the same with Liverpool and Shaqiri.
We may well end up doing better business in the end, but I would have taken both of them over some of the players we currently have.
No mate, that would be like a repeat of last season.

Signing players that may work out / may not work out, with stupid, stupid wages and contracts.

West Ham > Everton last season.

The Dildos have been panicked by the fan revolt last year.

Also who`s arsed about West Ham ????????

Thing with Yarmelenko is there must be a reason Dortmund were cool with selling him for a lost one year after signing him right?

As for Everton Mina Tierney a center mid and maybe another creative player sounds decent to me

Wilshere will be on the treatment table more than playing. On a free so fair enough. Enough midget in the team.

Yarm is going to turn 29 and signs for West Ham. Enough say.

This team with a proper manager would still be favourites to finish 7th.

Pickford

Coleman Holgate Keane Baines

Gueye Davies Siggurdson

Walcott Tosun Lookman

So just stop wetting your pants and leave it to Brands. I’m glad we’re not chucking money round again, we didn’t need to, we probably need only 3 positions at a push and if Silva and Brands think we have the solutions in the squad already then I’d be ok going with that. We barely saw any of Vlasic Lookman last season, Tosun and Walcott have only had a few months. Coleman was back from injury. There’s a lot of potential in the squad to be maximised first before we need to worry about Brands notmplying fantasy football.

There’s always one club every summer that whip up some fans on here into a panic, I still remember the warnings that Stoke and Swansea were going to move ahead of us after 14/15. It never comes to pass, we’ll probably finish above West Ham again and we’ll be glad we didn’t panic bid for Wilshere or Yarmolenko.

Fully agreed.

A player can look biffy in one system and can be a sexual warlock in other. x

England and Arsenal not missing Wilshere - nor Bournemouth seemingly. He's a decent player but we have enough in his position still on the books - we can't have yet another on 100k a week. If he was a LB, CB or striker maybe.

How would they walk into our team? Yarmolenko likes playing on the right. Over Walcott? Really? He's a different type of player for sure, think Walcott is a better fit for what Silva wants to do.

And where would Wilshere play? Is he the box to box we need? I don't think so. He's not a 6 and he's not better at that position than Gana. I thought he was more of a 10, but posters are saying he's not, which he wouldn't be playing over Siggy anyways.
