But would their signings improve us?

Diop I havent seen, but we need a CB.
Most agree that Wilshire is talented, we need a CM
Jargenmenko is also a talented boy, we certainly need a player of his ilk

I mean I know its cool to laugh at West Ham, but personally I think they have picked up 3 decent players.

I mean they are still crap, but still.

It's a fair question, Goat.

First of all, just because they'd improve us, doesn't necessarily mean we should've been in for them or there aren't better players out there for us.

Second of all, I'm not overwhelmed by those players.

Diop is the one that might position wise. I like Ferrari, I like Mina a bit with some reservation, think we will find at least one solid CB soon.

Wilshere is talented, but he's hurt a lot and he's not some dominant box to box player like a Doucoure or even a Bissouma type that I believe we need. We will find someone that will provide more value I believe.

Yarmalenko is super skilled, talented, and is a wonderful player in isolation. He was not a good fit at Dortmund and don't believe he'd make a lot of sense at Everton, either. He's not really a winger, not really an inside forward, he's more of a wide playmaker type I guess. He's a pretty unique player. Would like a more direct, aggressive player, who scores goals. If we are going to spring our outside backs and use them to attack from width like Silva tried to do at Watford, having inside forwards that can get closer to goal and score a couple would be nice. Lookman would be a nice fit.

And again, they have some losses, too, so not sure they are massively improved. And if they lose Arnautovic, they will be worse, not better IMO.

I'm a bit surprised that Brands and Silva haven't made at least one statement signing yet. That doesn't necessarily mean expensive, but rather an example of the type of footballer who will suit the more dynamic, attacking style that we'll hopefully be seeing from now on.

I have a feeling that it's a case of money being tight this year, so hopefully there will be some movement on outgoings sooner rather than later; otherwise, it's going to be a real struggle if the likes of Keane, Bolasie, Schneiderlin and Baines are starting games next season.

...Yerry Mina’s agent is quoted in Mundo Deportivo;

‘It’s not true Yerry has signed for Everton. Yerry has many teams who hold an interest in him but before we can think about that we need to know what Barcelona plan to do. When we hear from the club we will make a decision’.
