it's nice to see other clubs making moves this window

happy for Southampton and their massive 6ft 6 inch defender which is basically a carbon copy replacement for Van Dijk

in other news, I reckon we should try and sign rojo from man utd

Well you've clearly never seen him play then have you.
Basically a Schneiderlin replacement, Italian lad has only 1 year on his contract, so could get him for under £10m, then sell Schneiderlin for £20m to Marsaille

So a coward, who doesn't give a toss, and just strolls around the pitch?! Noooooooooooooooooo…………………...
I kind of meant in his position, not his attitude

I suspect we are about break even now myself, we made 4.5 on Mori from his book price and lost his wage, Rooney and the others, totaling approx 15+ mill.

We also kicked a 10 million repayment on Stones and Lukaku on an advance payments down the road by another year, so i think we are just about break even from a cash flow perspective informally for this season, even if that liability is still there. I.e. creative accounting.

Thats nothing to shout about though and very little cash flow in the business.
But don't forget about the -40m from net spend for last season and -50m from Pickford and klassen that will also be in the accounts for last seasons accounts
I think the funes Mori money will be used to sign a defender.

People not liking Shaqiri makes me sad.

Yes he has quite a few negatives but our squad is flipping grim. He’s better than all we have in similar positions except possibly Walcott.

But that’s just my little opinion there.

He reminds me of Nick Barmby.

Talented when he is motivated but he is not the sort of player I would want here.

The frustrating thing at the moment is that you see the names "Doucoure" "Tierney" "Mina" and you know these players would undoubtedly improve us in vital positions we struggled in last season. Just put up the cash and get them signed up rather than fannying around 'poising' 'readying' ourselves.

If Everton were a lad at a bar it would be last orders and all the totty has been snapped up whilst we poise ourselves for a lonely tug. Come on EFC give us some hope for once!

It's all about the financial risk mate. If we plough a load of money in again for little return, we could be in real trouble.

I get where you're coming from, and I want transfer deals to get done asap. We just have too much dead wood on the wage bill, and not enough outside interest to shift them. Would you want to buy Schneiderlin/Bolasie/Mirallas/Williams?

We're not just any old lad at the bar y'know :drunk:
