....here’s what the transfer rumour columns are saying this Sunday Morning;

- According to the Star, Everton lead the race to sign Barcelona’s Colombian Centre Back, Yerry Mina.

- Amidst interest from a number of clubs, The Liverpool Echo quote Ruben Loftus-Cheek as saying he needs minutes on the pitch and will now take a short break, clear his mind and decide what is best.

- The Echo also quote Marco Silva as saying his players are working hard to avoid his transfer cull but he knew them very, very well before he arrived. He is analysing the young players, some of whom are really impressing him.

- Forza Italian Football say Everton are closing in on a deal for AC Milan’s midfield outcast, Andrea Bertolacci. The player has come in for a lot of criticism following his €20m arrival from Roma and is now available for less than €10m

- 4th Official pick up on the rumour linking Everton with Inter Milan’s 24 year old Left Back, Dalbert Henrique. The Brazilian has made just 5 appearances and struggled to establish himself following his move from Nice.

- According to F.C. Inter News, midfielder Joao Mario has turned down an €18m move to Bournemouth but still interests Everton and Wolves. The Portuguese intetnational spent part of last season on loan at West Ham.

- The Times say Luke Shaw has rejected the opportunity of rebuilding his career at Everton. Reporter, Duncan Castles, says the Manchester United Left Back will only leave Old Trafford when he becomes a free agent in 2019.

- Goal.com link Everton with a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. Zaha has recently turned down an improved deal but signed a 5 year contract at Palace just 15 months ago.
Thanks for all your work on condensing the info coming from the various outlets.
I suppose we will wait and see how many actually transpire.

This is playing out just as Brands said tbf. Marco’s making the final squad assessments whilst he is making enquiries for signings (hence all of the ‘poised’ whispers). It’s quite clear that we’re in for a left back and it sounds like we’ve been testing the water with some of them. Next couple of weeks should see the ‘aggressive moves’ to acquire the best of the options available to us. Exactly as was stated at the first presser..

It’s about time that we had someone bold enough to make decisions on transfers without just going out and getting them. They know what they want and getting rid of the deadwood first had to be the priority. It’s great to hear the likes of Keane and jags saying how good training is with silva and tosun saying how good it is with offensive work. I’m looking forward to seeing us play next season

But West Ham have signed a few players!!! That wasn't mentioned!

Wouldn't touch Shaw with a barge pole. He's clearly talented enough to play for a top team but his mentality doesn't seem right. The comment about waiting for a Bosman is exactly what I'd have expected of him. And given the quality of the full English at Finch Farm, he and Ash might be a bad influence on each other.

The way that reads to me, is that he`s aware of the lack of effort and how dreadful some of them were last season and he`s not fooled at all.

Agreed. Being in the Old Trafford bubble has gone to his head as well as his stomach. I’d seriously lose confidence in Brands/Silva if we went near him. Done nothing for years and happy to wait another year doing nothing before leaving. A pretty disgraceful attitude. We have a few like that in our camp as it is.
