no chance, we got at least 100 mil from just tv money alone which covers the net loss on transfer fee's of 60 mil

we have money we are just not spending it for whatever reason

if the club just said it's for the stadium then i could accept it

but staying silent is just wrong

We made a loss on transfers of £60M, and the (mainly) wasters we signed are on long and lucrative contracts.

It's the wages which are the issue. Sandro, Rooney and Siggy all came in on over 100k per week.

so do other clubs yet they are spending the cash

from a financial point of view with the tv money its given every club the luxury to now buy 50 mil players without any consequences

If you don't care to loop in the intricacies of Everton having more squad players on wages and having spent more on trash(that they likely won't be able to recoup anything near what they paid) than other clubs "spending the cash" along with other behind the scenes happenings, then there's no hope for this conversation.

rooney is gone, sandro's wages were covered by sevilla last season, siggy is worth 100k a week

people forget that tv money is not the only income the club makes, that on its own is around 100 mil, there is income from players sales, income from tickets, income for merchandise, income from sponsorships, income from everywhere that could bring in around 150-200 mil

wages shouldn't be an issue with that kind of income

Pretty sure that's how Barca do business tho, Sell them put a reasonable low buy back clause if they become good buy them.

It makes sense but when you're a big club like Barca you can do things like that.

It can also make a player who's at Barca even consider someone like us as they will know if they fulfill their own ambitions and are as good as their ego tells them, theyll be bought back.

if liverpool can get 12 mil for a reserve keeper then i have no worries about recouping money for our fringe players

Wait and see the actual figures when publised. Wage bill is rumoured to be about 140 million and turnover around 175 million.

It's not sustainable.
