I’d rather we just admit we’re skint, would help this place loads. I’m actually quite looking forward to next season, we operate best when the chips are down.

We’re not skint, our problem is we are trying to get in players that other CL teams are chasing so are struggling to attract them and we can’t shift out the poor players we donhave because we’re paying them too much precisely because we’re not skint.

I think we will sign 3 or 4 players and hopefully they will be quality. The worry is we start 3 weeks tomorrow and I can see the new signings on the bench, having not had time to bed in.

To think the likes of jags or god for bid Williams playing at wolves or even Mirallas. When we have a decent start on paper, it’s a bit frustrating.

Trying to sign unrealistic targets is a common tactic to say 'oh look we tried' we are so predictable.

Haha!

"SWAP DEALS DON'T HAPPEN"

"here's a swap deal that happened"

"JUST BECAUSE ONE HAPPENED IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY HAPPEN"

I didn’t say they didn’t happen mate that was somebody else . I think Stephen Ireland went in one a couple of years ago .

I was obviously being facetious in my reply , if we google in there are probably a couple more . The point I was jokingly making was their incredibly rare but despite that the press report them everyday as if they happen with the frequency of Regular transfers .

My intention wasn’t to be argumentative just to be light hearted , after last season and our lack of activity so far I’m not finding that easy to be honest .

But we have to try for as high a quality player as we can, if not you could end up with the likes of, Williams, Cuco, Keane, Klassen etc.

Yes I agree, but surely when dealing with agents, the first thing they should say is whether their client is interested in a move or not. How the rumoured Malcom contract offer was leaked I'd never know, for then to say prefers a move to Italy, so if it got that far, there must have been some sort of interest in coming to England.
