I’m not sure people telling others to “shut up” is very productive. Just ignore them if you don’t like what they post. We’re all part of the same fanbase here (or at least 99% of us are). Couple of people have done it recently.

Pope or Heaton will soon be on the move. My point is that IF the club decide to sell Pickford I wouldn't be worried about finding a good replacement.

The flaw in the thinking is that are we guaranteed to be able to buy one of them. maybe they would be too expensive, maybe they wouldn't want to come, maybe someone else puts in an offer for them.

Once we have exhausted the 'one of the Burnley keepers' option who else would be available ?

There aren't that many top draw goalkeepers available for reasonable money at present, look what the RS have just spent. I cannot understand any logic in selling who in my opinion, is one of the few players that is worth keeping hold of rather than try to replace or make a profit.

Shut up x

I have no idea what the issue is here. I'm not satying or advocating Pickford be sold. It started off as me saying that IF we needed a big money sale then he would be the obvious choice to go and get cash in. Then someone says "well who do we get and for how much...?" and then I answer that and it snowballs.

Anyway. Last word on the subject.

Morgan Schneiderlin is a bit of an enigma.

I'd never noticed him before we signed him, he seemed to be one of those players people said was good but went through matches without doing anything spectacular enough to stand out.

He then came in and looked really good, then completely lost his way.

Looking back at his last season at Southampton he lead the league in tackles and interceptions by far. Getting full caps from France, playing 65 passes a game at 90% accuracy and generally running the show.

If he could get back to that role in front of the back 4 then it would solve a lot of our problems - allowing us to pair him with another high energy midfielder and perhaps allowing Dowell/Sigurdsson/the returning Barkley to play the creative role.

The ability is there. Can Silva help him rebuild that confidence, he is still only 28.
No enigma to me. His heart isnt in this. He takes the Money and does some togger too but theres no heart or passion there.

Right, we are lucky to have a keeper with the potential Pickford has. What makes you think Nick Pope would leave a Burnley side with European football for a mess of a club like ours? Do people still think we are still this so called sleeping giant?

Burnley are not in a position to sell and neither are we. Pickford isn't going to leave but if we have any more seasons like the last one then he would probably jump a sinking ship.
