All strikers would have struggled with the rubbish we werw dishing up.

How long do you use thos excuse for him?

For me he always seems 5 yards away from were he should be and isnt pre reading passes to get a head start on opposition.
Players cant thread him through or pick him out if he's constantly not in the right position.

We never give that excuse for niasse or DCL

We didn't play anything which resembled football. Long rubbish hoofs, isn't doing any CF favours so it isn't an excuse and the lad has played some 14 games for crying out loud, 4 months of game during some of the most dire football weve ever witnessed. Granted, when he first started, he seemed unable to struggle with the pace. By the end, each opportunity he got, he nailed.

I don't make excuses for Niasse because I don't see the need to make excuses for a guy who is ace for our needs. Nor, DCL who I thought came along very nicely and yes does need to work on his finishing.

Our strike force is fine.

Speaking of Real, KOVACIC available for £44mil.

Perfect for us as a DM.

I understand the lure of Roma...beautiful city, women, champions league and a history of some brazilian internationals...

However...

With us signing Richarlison it could be a good move for him to join us...two 21 year old wingers would make it more likely to be scouted and called up for the full squad...same for Richarlison.

Former teammates in the brazil u20s + a portuguese manager.

Roma also have a tonne of forward options...

...morning folks, here’s Monday’s Toffee transfer rumour round-up;

- Brazilian outlet, GloboeSporte, confirm Richarlison’s move to Everton has been finalised. Sky Sports report the 21 year old will undergo a medical today at USM Finch Farm.

- The Liverpool Echo speculate the futures of Yannick Bolasie, Sandro Ramirez, Kevin Mirallas, Ashley Williams and Davy Klaassen are uncertain. They also say Marco Silva wants to give last season’s loanees the chance to impress but they will have to convince him.

- The Echo report Marco Silva has confirmed interest in Barcelona Left Back, Lucas Digne. A report from Italy reckons Everton face competition for Digne from Napoli. 4th Official say a £22m deal has been agreed for the Frenchman but also suggest Everton have reignited their interest in Celtic’s 21 year old defender, Kieran Tierney.

- Goal.com report Yerry Mina is happy with the offer from Everton and Goodison Park remains the 6ft 5in defenders most likely destination. French outlet, RMC Sport, say Lyon now rival Everton in pursuit of the 23 year old Barcelona Centre Back.

- Diech Stube is a Werder Bremen focused focused website and they suggest the German club are in talks to sign Everton midfielder, Davy Klaassen. The 25 year old would cost €13m-€14m, making him their highest transfer in history.

- MadAboutEPL pick up on reports linking Leicester City with Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie.

- According to The Daily Mail, Everton are one of a number of clubs who have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund’s 27 year old striker, Andre Schurrle.

- RoyalBlueMersey weblog carry the report linking Everton with Oldham’s 18 year old defender, Tom Hamer. The player is being targeted for the U23 squad.

- A Crystal Palace fan has tweeted a quote from Wilfried Zaha; “Why does everybody think i’m leaving, nothing is happening” he told the supporter.

Potential sales??
Klaassen to Werder
Bolasie to Leicester
Sandro to ??
Williams to ??

@Zatara
Sandro to third/fourth choice wide option, Zat. After Richarlison, Walcott, Lookman (?).

Kovacic! Forget no.6, he would be fine as the 8!!!

I think our worse buy last summer, possibly history is Keane for the price. I can’t see anyone wanting him not even Burnley
Up until very recently I’d have said Bolasie due to his fee and his age, but Keane is deffo up there now.

The only that we’ve got going for us re punting him, is his age.

Someone would deffo take him, due to him being young, don’t know what sort of wages he’s on, but there’ll be no way we’re getting back what we paid for him.

Never ever spending the £££ to try bring in those two together. Plus Walcott will start.

..the Klaassen links to Werder Bremen look fairly accurate. Interesting, especially given they have just lost a similar type of central midfielder.

I’d argue Klaassen. Shows how appealing some of our transfer business has been in the last couple of years.

To think, it wasn’t long ago we had Lukaku, Barkley and Stones. 3 players who were so talented for their age and we knew we could’ve sold for mega millions at any time.

Now we’ve got Pickford and Lookman at a stretch and the money we got for those 3 players has been wasted.
