..i’m just saying a poacher gets in goalscoring positions. Walcott plays on the wing but look at the goalscoring positions he takes up. Poachers sniff out chances. Sandro does not look like a poacher to me but I might be wrong. He’s a busy player and often busy players flatter, but I don’t see him consistently get at defenders or produce a bit of magic to create a chance.

Walcott and Lookman need to be back in this squad quick. Lookman to add that bit of flare that Richarlison also brings, and Walcott to add that experience and nous to be in the right place at the right time.

Personally I don’t put too much on friendlies, however these players needed to take the opportunity to force themselves into Silvas thinking. I suspect the performance last night albeit bad told him much more about the players than we ever could have done.

I was thinking we’d see 10 out and 3 in. I’m more inclined to think we will probably see 6 out and 6 in now. Would love us to see more out but, we need to focus on the recruitment side with time running out.

The spine of the team is so poor. A commanding CB, pacey CB, 2 x grock central midfielders with pace, presence and a pass in them. A left back and a second choice GK.

I realise I’m being too hopeful, but I’m used to being brought down to earth. x

Still no genuine rumours linking Lozano anywhere, be a surprise if he stays at PSV this season...

I was thinking about this earlier.

IF and it's a massive if. If we could somehow get Lozano, a DM (this lad Zakaria sounds interesting), Mina and Digne. (I would also try and take a punt on a lower league CH with pace) then we would have the makings of a very decent side.

Just shipping out all of Koeman's outfield muck that is problematic.

They could be keeping us loitering with a smidgen of hope to drive the price up - Could also be the players keeping their options open, hopefully it doesn’t end up like Giroud.
