Possibly was just hoping it meant Bolasie was getting jibbed.

Didn’t realise he only had 12 months. I don’t know what to think on Dowell. Be interesting to see what Silva/Brands call is.

When you look at that squad, it’s scary just how much surgery is needed. Will take 3 windows minimum.

Shows how important it is to get every signing we make right from here on in (or at least the vast majority).

Richarlison seems like a good start.

I’d rather 3 signings each season of the calibre of him than trying to get 5-6 in.

Extend by a year would be my decision. Loan him out and reassess his progress next summer. If there isn't substantial improvement then sell him.

The problem though mate is, the only way we're going to know if he's good enough is by him playing games in the prem, loaning him out to a Championship team didn't really tell us much last season, apart from maybe he's good enough for the championship.

You'd like to think that Silva has something similar on his office wall.

Unless a PL side comes in for him, surely he is in no worse situation? Signs a new contract, gets paid more and gets loaned to a championship team where he will play. All the while knowing he is still attached to a decent club if he shows promise.

Was going to say that mate, but going by what a lot of lads were saying on here, one of the reasons was that Forest brought in a new manager who hardly played him because he didn't fit into his way of playing?

They're our best 4 players then I guess, Tosun should be alright this year. I liked the look of Vlasic and Besic but I wouldn't depend on them for a full season. That list of 33 players looks like a mid table team at best.

From what I read about him, it seemed to be a bit of the new manager not fancying him and also he seemed to have run of steam fitness wise.

Yeah, I'm pretty concerned about this. Problem we had before Allardyce was that any amount of attacking would leave us exposed - and I don't see why that would change with Schneiderlin, Williams et al.

Or Lookman and Kev are the other options on the left while Walcott will play mostly down the right and Bolasie is getting sold

Whenever Morinho goes into a club he makes sure he buys the players he wants to ensure the spine of the team is strong. I’m a bit surprised Silva hasn’t done similar. We’re very weak through the centre - particularly in defensive areas.

On paper not really though. Pickford Keane Schneiderlin Siggurdson Tosun. These are all 25 mill plus players. Not Silva’s fault that the ones between Pickford and Tosun are tosh.
