Wesley sounds like a Malcom case where the agents just mention our name for a better deal for the player or the agent or both.
I'd be really really surprised if we signed a striker.

..bit of an odd report suggesting Everton have a Plan B if the deal for Lucas Digne doesn’t work out. Apparently we have a deal in principle agreed with another ‘unamed’ LB. perhaps Kieran Tierney @Mikey_Fitzgerald.

If Everton had a deal in place for Keiron Tierney they'd bin Digne right off and bring Tierney in, so there's no way it's that imo.

I'm fine with Digne, he looks very solid if a little unspectacular. We need the entire left hand side of our team rebuilding (LCB, LB, LCM, LW), Richarlison is a good start but we need those other 3 positions rapped up before we go to wolves. Keane is looking like a lost cause and seeing Jagielka getting put on the floor by a Blackburn rovers player was very worrying.

I'm also offended that Ashley Williams still plays for Everton.

Strengthen the left sidebar is one of the priorities of Marco Silva at Everton and, according to the Blog Oh found, Alex Telles is the main request by newcomer Portuguese coach. The negotiation, however, is not simple, especially for high values involved. Lucas Digne, of Barcelona, is another name that matters for the sector.
One of the main highlights of Porto last season, having made 20 assists, the Brazilian is valued at 40 million euros (£ $173 million). In addition, competition in the market is strong-PSG and Juventus has also demonstrated desire to acquire the player.
In favour of Everton in contention is the fact Telles have switched recently from entrepreneur. Today, Giuliano Bertolucci is responsible for managing the side's career. The agent, which works in conjunction with Kia Joorabchian in English football, brokered last week Richarlisson transfer from Watford for the Toffees.

To 25 years, the athlete revealed by youth and with tickets for Grêmio, Galatasaray and Inter Milan's in Porto from 2016. It cost about 6.5 million euros and has signed a contract valid until June 2021.

So would I, only way I could see that happening is if Marco punts DcL out on loan or someone throws £10-15mil at us for Niasse and there's been no suggestion of either of those whatsoever.

..yep, I tend to agree. Surely you don’t go through the whole process with Digne just to get Tierney. That would be taking negotiations and brinkmanship to the extreme.

A very interesting read, for those that enjoy this kind of thing, basically, the conclusion is this :

From the eye test, it looks like Timo Baumgartl is Everton’s best option. Very good at winning tackles, active, a good passer, and as Played Off The Parkwrites, very good at vertical passing. He along with the more popular Benjamin Pavard and the experienced Holger Badstuber helped create VfB Stuttgart’s impressive defensive record of just 36 goals conceded (only Bayern conceded less).

However, there’s a very good chance that his availability hinges on Pavard potentially leaving Stuttgart, and otherwise, he might be a little out of Everton’s price range. If it’s not him, Everton could look at Florian Lejeune, Niklas Stark, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Unai Nunez, or Robin Knoche.

That should be burnt, buried the covered in concrete just for having the phrase vertical passing

Haven’t we always had a deal agreed with Tierney & have rightly so refused to pay the full £25 million up front.

I’d imagine after our last few transfer windows clubs think they can bend us over.

We have to make a stand at some point look at city they walk away when they think the terms arent agreeable.
