Uh, he's 6'2" man. Is he not good in the air? Jags is AWFUL in the air and moron Sam had JonJoe marking target guys on set pieces, so I think that's an upgrade in the air over what he had last year.

With the small fee we'd likely receive for Besic and the low wage he's presumably on, I don't see the point in selling him. With Klaassen gone we have Schneiderat, Gana, Davies, McCarthy and Baningime left. Terrible lack of creative quality in there.

We need a new signing in midfield regardless of whether we bin Besic or not.

I think he split for a while after the smackdown over us being broke and sell to buy, and then us buying Richarlison.

Im sure he will be back after our first loss, and every one thereafter.

I don't think the starting XI needed to change THAT much. Richarlison, Digne and a CB would be a good start. Hopefully a CM also.

The bigger job was getting rid of some of the absolute frauds on our wage bill.

Considering Coleman is back from injury, Tosun and Walcott came in in January and Richarlison and Digne will be first team players, even if we don’t make any more signings (which is unlikely) the first 11 will be nothing like the one that started last season.

I believe he's trialling for Newcastle (in the Aussie A League)

Obviously it's opinion and the league isn't as fast (or out of control), but I think the defending tactics and talent are better. Maybe the lack of speed helps defenses a bit of course.

Although, it doesn't make for the most entertaining product so perhaps I'm still watching a small sample size. Napoli and Roma are fun to watch, but Koulibaly is IMO the best CB in the world and Roma has a couple pretty good defenders as well.

Doucoure would be wicked expensive, but how much fun would that be? We take far and away their best two players?
