Conversely unless I'm mistaken both Ferdinand and Vidic where right footed and where one if the best cb partnerships the league's seen.

Much like lahm spent over half his career playing fullback on his weaker foot.

The better players adapt simple as.

And us last season, right footed Cuco playing at left back. Didnt do us ant harm did it.

I'd agree somewhat but I would consider fixing our defense and midfield a bigger priority and Tosun, walcott, Richy, Sig, Lookman and Niasse should realisticslly get 40 goals between them this year

Attacker and CB we need desperately. I can see us getting along with the current midfield once they;re shown how to play a system.

I guess one option would be to keep Connolly and loan out both Kenny and Joe Williams/Baningime as he covers both positions.

Kenny will stay, he's the only backup right back who can maintain the team shape in attack when Seamus is indisposed. Has looked like a reasonably able defender when called upon last season.

I wouldn't say no to another CB, that's for sure. I'm alarmed though (for the second season running) at how gummy we look up front. I cant see too many PL teams looking at Tosun and getting cold sweats.
