Lindelof would be a good option on loan. Would suit the way Silva wants to play.
Wish he was left sided, but I agree. Got a pass in him, isn't fast, but he'll step up and win a ball and just seems a bit more solid. Again, we don't need spectacular, we need someone tough, smart, aggressive, who can play with a sense of organization in the back. We could do worse.

What are Michaels strengths if you would list them that would be super.
He is good in a compact back line which sits very deep and intercepts through balls and crosses, and also marks tightly not allowing forwards room to turn. Like he did at Burnley.

At Everton, we don’t play as deep, therefore he has a bigger area to cover and is not as effective.

Sorry for not being a kneejerker who thinks everyone has to be either brilliant or cr@p with no inbetween

terrible footballer, not good at anything. Moyes ruined him by trying to make him a player he wasnt and not focusing enough on one position

ended up with him trying holding midfielder who couldn't tackle or intercept or number 10 who couldn't really beat a man or play a decent pass for a forward to a just utter nothing of a player

Pretty sure that's one of his weaknesses as Rom did a sky interview before we played Burnley and he rolled Keane like he wasn't there......

That kind of makes him rubbish though? A boxer who’s really good unless you hit him back, a batsman who’s really good as long as you let him cover drive everything, a golfer whos superb off the tee but can’t putt, are all useless. A defender who is only capable of defending in one way is also useless, and that sums Keane up.

I asked you to list his strengths and you listed none, you basically just said how the team must play to accommodate an awful defender.

You want the team to intercept through balls for him, don’t leave him isolated, and win headers for him. Because that’s everything he can’t do, what can he do please someone tell me what the boy can do.

Because Maldini is in his 50s now.
But seriously, Keane looked good at Burnley which is why we spent 25m on him. Our system doesn’t suit him and exposes his weaknesses rather than showing his strengths. Doesn’t mean he is a donkey, he just isn’t a good fit for our style.

Just a minute, wasn't Keane crap last year under a different system ? Possibly looked better than he was at Burnley due to their ultra defensive set up. We were defensive last year under Allardyce and he was still very poor.
