I agree. If only one then a centre half .

Just concerning that for the second year in a row we have a attacking midfielder in Rooney and now siggurdson that are essentially passengers in the team. Siggurdson isn't fast enough to keep up with the wingers and if he sits too deep to play make then we then have 3 people in close proximity which was the same issue with all our number 10s at the start of last season

Indeed, I think it's because we spent so much on Gylfi (and the rest) that we are going to give it a try this year. If we sort the CBs this year then next I would expect us to concentrate on a more dynamic midfielder to replace Sigurdsson, same for a DM and probably look at a forward too.

Fingers crossed we get one or more of those sorted too (even if it is a loan) in this window.

And take jags williams and Mori out the squad and it leaves you with one, hence why koeman may have thought signing another was such an important thing last summer.

Only a shame he didn't add 'and if nothing happens this week expect some movement from the 01/01/2019 to 31/01/2019 however by then it may be different players'.

Lot of discussion along the lines of: are you worried?

Some disagree, but doing late business is usually a sign that you are doing things the right way. (There's a reason we could get Klaassen for £23m, and all the rest of last year's business, done so early in the window.)

It's clear that Brands and Silva have a strategy and a list of targets who can improve us immediately. There's always a risk that it doesn't come off, but that's just the nature of the transfer window.

So no, not worried. I think we'll see a flurry of loan departures and certainly one (CB), but possibly two or three (CM and a forward) in.

United will get Alderweireld and possibly Maguire.... We'll then get Rojo, and possibly Mina on a one year loan deal if no one else comes in for him...

Think we'll bring in a central midfielder... and a Striker (Batshuayi) on loan too...
