To me “rejects” feels a tad strong. They weren’t first team players but they both got sporadic playing time and could have been in future plans.

They’re borderline Barca first teamers. They will make our squad better. No way around it.

Yep. To put in context, Jordi Alba would walk into any side in the Premier League - Digne was an able understudy to him, no shame in that.

Yerry Mina - who knows; he's either the unfortunate victim of the non-EU player rule or Barcelona are breathing a sigh of relief in getting rid for a profit. We'll see.

Let’s see if Keane can progress if he can concentrate on his own game with a solid partner and a mobile left back in the back 4.

We won’t get away with playing a high line at the back. I hope Silva accepts this and allows us to drop a bit deeper rather than insist on paying a way that doesn’t suit the players.

Mina is a great start but we cant go for Rojo as well as he just isnt good enough for the money they want.

£20m wouldn't be too bad.

I would have found Rojo pointless if we bought Lascelles, but if we're bringing in Mina then a fellow South American with Premier League experience coming in is fine for me.

Mina/Rojo would theoretically be a ridiculously big upgrade on Keane/Jagielka.

We can complain all we want but at the end of the day we’ve signed two players FROM Barca (!) who both also have had plenty of interest from top 6 teams in our own league and we signed a high energy winger whom our manager feels comfortable with.

We’re doing good business.

The three players are the right age and will improve us and I'm expecting a couple more and maybe use the loan route again

No I think they just held fire, waited for bids and took the best on the table.

I doubt United were ever in for him - much more likely he's been used as media ammo to convince Leicester and Spurs to come to the table, because let's face it, Maguire and Alderweireld make much, much more sense for United than Mina.
