Sessegnon will be who Spurs buy with the Rose funds who ends up to be the next best thing after Bale..

If we had any sense we'd be chucking everything at that lad.
Fulham quoting 100 m for Sessegnon.
Won’t get that but I reckon if he goes it’ll be north of 70 m
From what I’ve seen of him ( which is very limited ) and from what I’ve read he plays more a LWB than an orthodox LB

Klaassen 23mil
Bolasie 28mil
Keane 25mil
Williams 11mil

etc etc...

Shows we should just go for a small amount of players but of top quality rather than spread it around...never learnt from spurs and bale.

For decades Liverpool did the same, buying loads of highly-priced, average-at-best. They appear to be learning though.

As important as new signings are needed, the real test will be getting more out of what we have next year.

Please sign complimentary players who can push us on, with all the money floating around it won’t be hard to get a few off the books, you would hope.

My positivity regarding us is shot right now, need to see some positive movements after all the proof is in the pudding.

Difference is they have huge income streams...also manage to sign and sell Torres, Suarez and Coutinho making huge money and now of course have Salah too...

We need to focus on 5 first team players...some known quantities like Lascalles and Mawson and a couple of potential superstars...

Mawson!?!? Keane mark 2.

Surely theres a Christiansen type somewhere?

Possibly the biggest challenge will be getting rid of those who don’t make the grade. We probably need to ship out a minimum of 10 players.

Absolutely agree.
But they did buy an astonishing amount of 'Who? They paid what!!?'. I mean.....Leiva?

We absolutely don't have that luxury. As this last season has demonstrated.

He's actually a very good player!

But yes, you look at that list, and it shows a lot of really poor decisions, and a lot of waste of money on average players. Rodgers record in transfers is really terrible, I didn't realise how much money he spent there, yet you can count on one hand the really good players the team had when he left.

But if there is one positive to take out of that, is that within a couple years it shows how it's possible to turn around a squad. And one of the defining factors - having the background staff all on the same page, from head coach/manager down through the sporting director and scouts, all in tune with each other, no big egos clashing and pulling against each others oppinions.
