To be honest I don’t think sales will bring in too much money
Even and it’s a big IF Henry and Vlasic were sold along with say Lookman and the rest of the loanees you would be lucky to get 70/75 m and that’s the price of a top quality CF
If e want a squad we need to keep Siggy , Lookman and Henry and Vlasic if they progress
I know this will upset some but I see no place in Silvas squad in 2 years time for Dowell , Williams , Davies and the vast majority of our young players out on loan

All the more reason to hope that Richarlison does turn out to be Centre Forward imo. Probably Steve Walsh's best work getting Onyekuru, Vlasic and Lookman; all of them very young (Onyekuru the eldest and he only turned 21 in June) who, by the end of the season, will all have had experience as being an important player in top clubs in Turkey, Russia and Germany. I do hope that by next season they could all be key players for us but if they're not going to be we sell them and as you said we've garnered around 75 million on three 21 year olds who have hardly kicked a ball for us.

I don't doubt Dowell and Williams will be gone at the end of the season, Williams almost definitely because I expect that CM area is one which we're gonna strengthen and I can't see Dowell doing that well in the prem (wouldn't be surprised if he could cut in the Bundesliga). I think the staff at the club rate Baningime over Williams anyway.

He's not another wet blanket coming out Ajax, like Klassen.
Having said that, his strength is his biggest weakness.
But his quality/range of skills is seen few and far between in the current squad.

Yeah many thought he was the best player in the league while he was still at Twente. I think those were the days he was most heavily linked to us as well and when he would have been half the price.

Ndombele/Doucoure type is what should be targeted in January.
The links to Militao are encouraging too as another young energetic Brazilian.

I realise that we could do with a lethal striker, but having a dominant CM will free up more space for Richarlison, Bernard, Walcott etc to do more damage.
The midfield we have is good but not good enough to compete with the elite of this league.

I agree, but my original point was, we potentially have s lot of money that could be generated from sales and maybe one or two players being sold who are in the team at the moment.

I think it’s about getting as many top class players as possible.

Yeah i agree with stephenlloyd...it shouldnt matter what position we improve on if the players are top notch and replace weaker older players.

When good players are attainable we need to strike.
