Good enough for Napoli (maybe...) but not for Everton. Go figure.
Different style of play and pace of their game.

The proven talent they have there is ridiculous...
Although we have a decent amount of young players I think only Holgate and Lookman could be considered at approaching this level of quality.
Would be nice to have 2 or 3 more super talents added.
I expect at least daily updates if not twice a day. It’s for the cause man...no problem. It’s a 12 week window, so I’ll put a summary together when it’s worth it and when i’m not on my retired old man summer holidays!!
Agree with almost all of it but you can't be getting rid of Niasse tbhIt’s great this but proper weird, my enthusiasm for all things Everton is back in the space of 1 day, and I’m more looking forward to outs than ins for the first time ever.
For starters, Joel, Mangala, Garbutt, Besic, Galloway, Browning and Mirallas could leave and you wouldn’t even notice. That’s 7 lighter than last year.
Then you can punt the old/bad attitude brigade, Rooney, Jagielka, Williams and Schneiderlin.
And finally the simply not good enough lot, Martina, Sandro, Bolasie, and arguably Klaassen and Niasse.
Now I’m not saying it’s realistic to get rid of 16 players in one window, but it’s actually very possible if you replace them with 5/6 decent players.
I feel like I am going to get this wrong but a lot of those players are sold at a loss in your thoughts. We STILL have to pay the club we got them from, which means most would be a wash in terms of outlay and what we got.
Which means you think the club is going to spend $150m?
Couple things:
- You might as well add 10M to the sales ledger for Rooney.
- Who would spend 25M on Schneiderlin or especially 20M on Bolasie?
- There is absolutely no chance two newly promoted clubs (assuming Fulham come up) will sell us their best players.
I like you D, but youve had a shocker here.
I admire your spunk tho.
15-20m for Niasse? JESUS CHRIST.
is that a dig at me cos I have him on the back of my shirt......yep, I think it was something to do with his marketing rights. Saying that, I don’t see many folk walking around with Klaassen on their shirt.
They tried sign him on loan in January. Backed off cos He was cup tied for europa league wasn't it!

I live in Aus @Eggs and am about 9 hrs ahead of uk. so if you could possibly wake yourself up at around 2am and deliver your findings just so I could read it first thing In the morning that would be great..
Both Leipzig and RB Salzburg are big into Moneyball / Analytics / Stats-based recruitment and they really seem to get it right. First time I ever heard of Naby Keïta was a guy blogging about his stats at Salzburg and how, small league or not, he was the answer to every Midfield problem for just about everyone. I have half a memory that the author was a Kopite, but that could be wrong - either way it struck me as good analysis then, and seems to have held up.The proven talent they have there is ridiculous...

Our neighbours and their FSG masters love this stuff too and, as well as the spectacular successes that they have always seemed to have, they seem to have gotten really good at avoiding disasters. Even players of theirs that I don't rate seem to do well enough for them.
Anyway, I've had this secret terror since January that we'd sell Lookman to Leipzig or someone for peanuts and in a years time he'd be bought by the RS - I'm hoping Brands and our new manager will have enough sense to keep him.
